The Feeling of Nothing

I was watching Bryan Greene's new show on NOVA about the fabric of the cosmos and one theory they offered up claimed black holes may "record" all the information of the stuff that falls into them, kinda like a cosmic book of life. Information in 3D is transferred to the 2D surface of the black hole where it could be recorded or retrieved maybe.

as for nothingness, kinda sad on one hand, but the universe is so amazingly weird maybe life doesn't really end with death.

Or the absolutely crushing devastation before you die when you realize that, perhaps, you got screwed by life around every corner and you never once experienced happiness no matter what you tried?

Well, that's a pretty petty thing to worry about.
