Just finished reading this book over the weekend. Found out today they've made it into a move to be release in March.

So what do you think of this book? Are you psyched about the movie?

Funny enough I made a thread about this last December, but couldn't find anyone who read it. I haven't read it, but I did end up buying the 3 books in the series for my brother. I'm not sure if he read them yet. They looked kind of interesting, but I don't know how to read myself, so I'll just wait for the movie.

I'll probably end up borrowing it from my friend.
However, my enduring memory of that book is from 10th grade bio. This one blonde bimbo (who, as far as we knew, couldn't read to save her life) was asked by the teacher to stop reading that book and pay attention in class!

I absolutely loved the books. However I fear the movie will be far worse, because movies based on books (in my oppinion) tend to experience a significant drop in quality.

One thing to note about the books is that they are full of violence. It would be difficult to depict the violence in the same detail without getting an R rating in a film. The film is trying to target the teen age crowd, so they will have to do it such a way to get a PG-13 rating.

I stayed up late to finish the first book last week, and now am almost done with the second book Catching Fire I'm counting down he days until the movie come out in theatres.

The books are pretty good, I've finished all three.. Not sure if I'll go see the movie though.

There is good buzz about the movie, although most of that is from the director, so take that with a grain of salt, but he did say the female lead did a great job. I'll wait for reviews. Finding a decent young actress is a very tough thing to do. If they succeeded, then good on them.
