The "I Got A New Game!" Thread

Steam has a THQ collectors pack on sale for $75, which contains CoH and opposing fronts, as well as Titan Quest and its expansion(I'm kinda interested in this game) 2 Full spectrum warrior games and some frontlines fuel of war game(have no idea what any of those are) DoW and all it's expansions plus DoW 2(I have DoW without any expansions) and STALKER(wish it was clear sky but it's the original which I have) and some crappy racing game. So basically, it's CoH+opposing fronts, DoW 1(with all expansions)&2, and Titan Quest plus expansions that would interest me, for $75, seem like a good deal? I played DoW a tiny little bit and liked it a bit, not too instantly crazy about it but it seemed alright, CoH is similar right?

There's also a Fallout collection with FO1&2 and tactics, there's no good mods or anything for that is there? Should I get that instead?

Oh, and evil genius for only $5.
 
I just nabbed Evil Genius, good deal for a pretty good game from what I hear. Either way, for 5 bucks its not even a question.

As for the THQ pack, if you like RTS and are interested in CoH and DoW, then go ahead and get it. Its worth it for those games alone. The only other game I care for in there is Stalker. I may be willing to try out FSW, but not buy the pack just for it.
On the other hand, I already have CoH and DoW1 complete, so that pack is worthless to me.
 
Picked up Batman Arkham Asylum yesterday. Haven't played it yet though, but it seems very promising. Now all i need is a cape..
 
I've been playing through my first career in Silent Hunter IV and I don't know if something changed between 3 and 4 but I'm doing miserably. Some how despite having 5 torpedo hits on a medium sized cargo ship it didn't sink and just bobbed in the water often times having the waves completely submerge all of it but the smokestack. I had to use my deck gun to sink it. I then proceed to use the rest of my torpedoes on a convoy having 7 hits on two different ships and sinking neither of them. I then got sunk by depth charges (I think, I may have just been too deep) at 100 metres. Perhaps I should play through the tutorial and relearn the game.
 
You probably have "realisitc sinking times" on in the options, which can mean thast a ship will sink, but it might take two hours.


Just Steam'd Evil Genius and Sniper Elite.

I managed to find a copy of Rise of Nations Gold. It seems interesting, but up to now, my games always end up in information age stalemates and armageddon "everybody loses" scenarios because the AI keeps shooting nuclear weapons.

You go through the ages super fast and find yourself in information age rather quickly, and from there on, stalemates.

I had it a while back, it is good fun though I found it got old quite quickly. For the price on Steam right now it's absolutely worth it.

i was at best buy buying a new laptop, and decided to buy a new game for my new laptop, so i get battlefield 2 but i have some installation problems so i take it back and best buy gives me store credit, which i use to get counter strike source, it also included day of defeat source and half life 2 death match, i only installed counter strike( which is not fun) and day of defeat( which is quite fun)

I also found that Counter Strike sucked.

There's a free game called Crossfire that's not much better, but it is better. And there's thousands of people on all the time :p

My new game: BI for R:TW :D

Well, for some reason it keeps crashing about an hour into it :mad:

But i'll give it a shot ;)
 
There were problems like that on some European versions of the game actually, there's a patch that should help with that.
