The "I Got A New Game!" Thread

Bought KoToR off of steam for $9.99 USD, finally found this game!

i found knights of the old republic 2 at target for ten bucks.

anyway i bought fallout 2 and got lion heart legacy of the crusader for free. heard great things about fallout 2, look forward to it.

just bought KoTor myself.

Recently, Ive gotten the addons for Fallout 3.

I was going to do this, to start playing Fallout 3 again, I was expecting to maybe pay for a pack of the add-ons plus full price for the last 2 or something. I think there are something like 5 add-ons now? When I saw that I was STILL expected to pay close to 10$ per add-on, I said screw that.

Maybe I should get a few essential ones, like the one that unlocks the level cap and puts it to 30? which one is that?

Screw DLC.

I picked up Grand Slam Tennis for Wii the otherday. It's a really good tennis game. I won the Aussie Open yesterday, whoo! I still need to improve my game though. Gonna give multiplayer a whirl once i do.

/is slowly becoming a wii fanboy

/scary music..

Broken Steel raises the level cap. I'd also recommend Point Lookout. It's by fast the best bit of DLC.

No, just Broken Steel. I refuse to buy it and refuse to buy any more Bethesda products. They just throw out shoddy buggy products(look at the Fallout wiki and look at any page about anything at all in Fallout 3 and how you're basically just running on luck to be able to not have things irreparably ruined by bugs) yet all beth does is push out crappy DLC.

ummm huh? I have played many hours of Fallout 3 without any problems. It's too easy and not a fantastically fun game, but it's not buggy in the sense you have put it. I have seen some comical graphic glitches (loading an area and suddenly a corpse goes flying through the air, etc).

It's so easy for people to post online about drastic game-breaking bugs but of course details are always hard to come by...

I love flying ragdolls in Fallout 3! Reminds me of chucking ragdolls in Garry's Mod and blowing up CPs and Combine soldiers in Half Life 2! :D

Well I haven't had much issues either but I've only played through half of the game so far. It's just they mention that certain quests and things have fairly common bugs that can ruin things.

I picked up The Beatles Rock Band! It is quite awesome! :goodjob:

Just bought Port Royale from gog.com (damn them!). Still haven't played HoMM3 that I bought there last weekend. And I really need to update my Imperialism II AAR. :(

[Thorn walks into room] Hi, I'm Thorn. It's been six days since I bought my last computer game.
[Gamers Anonymous Group] Hi, Thorn!

i couldn't really see the point in this.... the beatles didn't really play any proper guitar solos

1. Not true. Listen to Abbey Road and Let It Be albums, and you'd see.

2. If you've ever played Rock Band, you'd understand it's not about great solos, it's about the combination of bass, guitar, drums and vocals (plus harmonies in this game :goodjob:)

3. What could possibly be more fun than playing Beatles music in Rock Band, it's pretty darned fun! (Play it if you don't believe me)

4. The drum stuff is indeed quite excellent. I'll never rag on Ringo again!
