The Kingdoms of Imsdan: Lizard's NES

Question: What year is it? It says 610 at the top of the update, but the military events are after that...

Its a decade long. So, the update starts in 610, but it ends in 620. The updates will slowly become different time lengths. Like, the industrial age may be.. 4-5 years. Modern age will be 1 year.

OOC: Awesome update, Lizard! I was hoping my colonization of Robot Pirate Island went well. :D

We would like to be recognized as a sovereign state. We should not be held accountable for the actions of our ancestors; we're no more pirates than any of you.

From: Oligarchy of the North
To: Empire of Craydonia

We would like to initiate trade with your vast Empire. We're looking forward to importing many of your grand luxuries, and hopefully draw more immigrants to our newly opening borders.

From: Oligarchy of the North
To: Omsdan

We're looking to open trade with our neighbors; care to assist? We have much delicious Deep-Sea food to trade, and a need for your metals and grain.

From: The Kingdom of Creul
To: The Craydonia Empire

We have no intentions on infringing upon the well-established borders of your state. Our only just claims are on the petty Abdolian states.

Certainly, we can agree to such a deal.

P.S, Next time spell our country's name correctly.

We have heard disturbing rumors that your ships have attacked Onsam merchants, cease at once or face the consequences.

TO:Pereb, Soage, Elhelm
FROM: Irryn

We wish to be neutral in this conflict, for now. We will not stage troops until we feel like it. One of they very few problems of a free country like us is that you can't stage a war forever, the people get tired of their fathers, sons, and husbands dying.

Whoops, sorry. Don't know how that happened; I kept getting irritated when other people spelt it wrong (Lizard :P)

Because it sounds better to me..

*To each of the minor Abdol states an emissary from the Kingdom of Creul is sent, he bears the following document which bears the seal of the Republic of Irryn*

I am disgusted with our neighbors. They try to take our well established freedoms away from us. Their proposed government singles us out. When we try to invade a non-member, we get yelled at and threaten invasion.

We, The Irryn Republic, request that we will help you take out any remaining states. In turn, you will promise not to invade us, and we will not do the same. If we win, we shall divide Abdsol between ourselves, and possibly even ally, if you want to go that way.

If accepted, we will first go with our planned invasion, Adsul. From there, we shall go to whoever threatens us first.

For the true successors of Abdsol!

Petty Abdsol states! Know that even amongst yourselves there are traitors and those who would wish to conspire with the state you see as your 'enemy'. If this grim reality does not make you fear for your very lives then the know that my army will. Creul once again offers to vassalize your states and allow your autonomy in domestic matters. The lands sized in the past campaign- the first of two should you not comply- will remain in the hands of the Creul Kingdom.

Make your decisions quickly for who knows what treacheries the future will bring to you sordid people?

~King Tlouiel II of Creul, Rightful Heir of the Greater Abdsol State

From Yulida

Every citizen of Yulida is prepared to die for their country, the question is are your soldiers prepared to do the same, for what some rocks and coastline.

We congradulate you on your nationship.

We are displeased.

FROM: Irryn

What you spewed out of your filthy mouth is clever, but false. We applaud you actually took the time to copy my writing style, and make a believable message of an Irryn diplomacy. However, it is obvious that you forged, for why would I want to help outsiders take our homelands, even if it helps us? You will pay deeply for your sins, and soon face the wrath of our Republic!

OOC: Hey, TLK, I just noticed something. You used my ASP for ecomony building last turn. I didn't invest in that at all, please re-read my PM for what I really did.

To: Ketmir
From: Anris

Rather than cripple us so, why not take parts of our navy and army, and put caps on us? We would still like to consider ourselves free.. albeit under your control.

We propose being allowed to keep (up to)

5 Divisions
3 Coastal Ships
1 Ship of the Line

The Federation Offers to help their good neighbor, Anris, in this Conflict.

To Banfry

Please, we are only hoping to stop an agressive attack: don't use your recent marrige sway you to help the agressors or else...

Too late.

To Banfry and KetAmir, and the Protectorate Anris

Shall we sign a Non-Agression Pact and a Trading Treaty?

OOC: Need Moar firepower!

@ Liz, you forgot about my marines: they are based off of my Trehan marines. Ah, the good ol days.

Basic Command skills
Axel Harahan

I Axel Harahan dedicate this section of my personal memoirs to the art form of command. First of all there is no greater reward then marching your troops through the enemy’s streets in victory. Second there is no lonelier position than that of a military leader. You will be forced to make very difficult decisions and you will lose men. That is the harsh fact of war, no matter how well trained and equipped you will still lose men. Knowing that and accepting it is the first step to becoming a great commander. You owe it to the men that you will lose to win.
Basic Command

The first rule in being a great commander is love your men and they will love you back, show them the proper respect and they will follow you through the bowels of the earth backwards. You must get to know and understand them, better than their own families. Make them feel comfortable get them the best mats to sleep on and the best equipment. Also make sure their families are well taken care of when you go on campaign. This serves two purposes; first your men will be less worried about their families and more focused on the fight ahead. Second families will grow to appreciate their military background and encourage their children to join.

Rule two, make yourself the pinnacle of military perfection, keep your armor shined and in good repair, keep your sword and axe sharp. Your uniform must be immaculate.

Rule three you must be the ultimate student of warfare. Learn from the mistakes of your ancestors study the battles of the ancients and figure out workable battle plans that would have turned the tide of some of the battles. You must be a master of all forms of combat. If you hear about one of your men being an excellent javelin thrower you must beat him in a javelin throwing contest, the same goes with exceptional swordsmen, wrestlers, runners, and horsemen. Beating these exceptional men and recognizing how good they are inspires the rest of your army because they know you know what you’re talking about.

Rule four never show favoritism this can have disastrous consequences on moral if the army believes you care about one man more than the rest of them.

Rule five, be flexible no plan survives enemy action, so you must be able to adapt to any situation. Study well into the night different military tactics and maps of the regions you are going into, more than anything else always have a backup plan and an escape route.

Rule six be ruthless and remember these simple truths. One every fight is your fight, never constantly adjust to the enemy keep them on the defensive. Every house is your house if your men are running low on food or shelter take it from the enemy a few houses will soon be the least of their worries. As a commander you have to get used to making decisions that most people will find appalling whether or not you burn down the enemy’s villages, or loot is up to you but on the battlefield you must seize every advantage.

By following these six relatively simple rules your men will grow to respect you and the enemy will grow to loathe you because of the incredible results a highly disciplined and motivated body of troops will achieve in a short period of time.

Alright. A lot of stuff.
To: The Abdol States
From: Rakil

Yulida's entrance makes it solid. Our soldiers will be washing our equiptment with the blood of Creul's people. Our armies will be marching across your states, albeit, we don't care if you like it or not. You wanted support, your getting it.

On our terms of course.

From: The Kingdom of Elhelm, The Kingdom of Soage, The Kingdom of Rakil, Representatives from Pereb

Do you not understand that if we fall, you will be next? Why would Creul not attack you next? Do you really trust their word? Differences in government aside, do you not understand, everyone's freedom is at stake?

We've the heard the same about your 'navy'. Of course, we have better things to be doing then screwing with your.. er.. trade. Perhaps, duel patrolling the North Sea will prevent these rumors from occuring.

Let us make it so.

@Abaddon
If you wish to refer to yourself as such, you can.

@Commander Gorma
Good flag! Interesting story too. It would be intersting if he became an Imsdan Sun Tzu.

@Omega
Yes, I know what your orders are. If i'm right, that from the trade you've recieved. (look in the update)

@Charles Li
Ya mate, sorry. I'll get on it.
