I do think some of the mentality morphed into Assclownism. Dorks arguing about calling Christmas "Holidays" and Jews and Muslims as opposed to Christians and whatnot, but you invite them to church and they definitely are not down to go. They never go. They never do. Churches make demands and requests and have creeds to follow and stuff. They're "spiritual not religious" or some sort of anti-vaccination dipwadery. It's still not actually conservatism.
