So, I haven't played above Noble in over two years. Alone, that is.

So, I started up a Noble game, random leaders, standard size fractal marathon, and I got this as my start:

Now, right then, I thought "wow, this is a great start. I bet I could win this on Prince again, easy." However, I've forgotten much, so I've decided to run this as a shadow game. Also, don't worry, I changed the difficulty level to Prince by saving the Worldbuilder (I promise, I didn't change anything and looked at as little as possible) and reopening as prince.

My ideas for now (the first 50 turns) are to research Agriculture and AH, send my worker to farm the corn and pasture (or mine? would mine be better?) the sheep, and after the worker is done I have some idea. I was thinking warrior then settler if size 2 is reached before warrior is complete. If not, I'd build a second warrior.

What do you think? thoughts? Admiration on the start? How would you, experienced civvers all, play this game?

Agriculture->BW->AH->Pottery seems to be the route here. Many players (including myself) underestimated the power of BW in early game. It will help you get your spawnbusters and Settlers much faster than going AH first for the Sheep (which is, on hill plains, a 3F/2H/1C tile which is worse than a plains Cow).

Looks like a very doable capital, though, especially for Hannibal.

EDIT: You should put this thread in the Strategy & Tips section, not the Strategy guide one.

Huh? I thought I posted it in the S&T forum...

move please, then I'll continue the game.
