The Lost Fleet

yepp, 1000 stardates being 1 year, should it be about 1 week after then

What year exactly is this? The Dominion wars ended correctly, right? Occupation of Cardassia and the ultra-mining of the wormhole at DS9? Not that it really matters for where our ships are ended up.

Yex, extra-galaxial. Like extra-planar.
2381. Destiny trilogy.

And I know what it means. I was just laughing at the word itself. :)

Tambien, when do you want to start the game?
As soon as I can. I was thinking about trying to get two more people or so, but if you guys waht to start sooner its fine.

EDIT: After counting, we have 10 PC ships. Nothing to sneeze at! I will finish the stats, and if we have no more applicants we will start soon.

What I am doing now is filling out the stat sheets for each of your ships.

As for the extra species, sure. Just dont make too many up.

Note: M'Yao and the crew of the Leonidas are veteran explorers and combatants. Under M'Yao's decisive leadership, many colonies were spared immediate destruction on the long retreat back to Earth. Rallying and organizing ragtag groups of frigates, freighters, and refugee vessels, M'Yao and the Leonidas are responsible for the great many small vessels, military and otherwise, currently in the fleet.

Captain’s Log, Stardate Unknown, Captain M'Yao of the USS Leonidas

The Leonidas and I had managed to save more than a dozen frigates, freighters, and evacuations ships before Earth presumably fell. How we, as well as many other vessels have arrived thousands of light-years away is unknown. Captain Sanchez, who rescued the High Command and Cadets, has called for a meeting on the Temeraire. What is to be done with so few ships, so far from home, in unexplored territory, is unknown.

I'd be fine with starting... Anyone who wants to join could perhaps be a ship that was carried somewhere else?

Captain’s Log - Stardate: 49451.8 - Captain Aylor of the USS Nomad

While on patrol near Prophet’s Landing, we encountered a derelict Tellarite freighter. Scans picked up a weak distress signal coming from a nearby moon. We found 5 Tellarites that had managed to survive in their shuttle for a number of days along with 3 of their fallen comrades. We have transported them to sickbay but are unable to examine the freighter in any detail. We were called back to Bajor to assist in its defense. Until the situation improves I have advised the Commander to find positions in the crew for the Tellarites. We are now 15 souls short of a full crew complement.

Captain’s Log - Stardate: 49454.9 - Captain Aylor of the USS Nomad

We have taken on an additional 15 Bajoran who should be able to fill our crew roster for the upcoming battle. We have assisted additional Bajoran to ships leaving the sector en route towards Earth. Reports indicate that the Borg shall arrive soon. We are now part of a defensive fleet that will...delay the inevitable. I have not mentioned to the crew yet that the evacuation is not precautionary. I suspect they may already know, but it is expected that we will fight the Borg here only to retreat to Earth at the last moment. My next log shall hopefully be above Earth itself.

Captain’s Log, Stardate Unknown, Captain Thomas Sanchez of the USS Temeraire

The Evacuation of earth was cut short by an energy wave which transported this Vessel, along with those assisting in the evacuation, to an unknown Location and time. We must, however, assume that we are all that remains of the federation, as the last reports before the... Event... were of the fall of Vulcan. Borg Vessels were mere hours away. As such, I find myself with the unhappy necessity to ensure the survival of the ideals from which we stem, making this an apocalyptic log of sorts. I have called a meeting of the captains of the ships, which will be held aboard the Temeraire, as one of the two surviving Galaxy Class Vessels. The Temeraire, the Leonidas, and the Dave Bowman, as the largest dedicated combat vessels, will need to be the Backbone of this, dare I say, Rag Tag Fleet. When the other captains come aboard, we must decide what the future of the federation will be, a daunting task if there ever was one.

Captains Log, Supplemental

I have assumed Temporary command of the former Federation forces, much as I am loath to take over. This Temporary command will end the moment the captains have met and established a proper chain of command. I have compiled a list of the Vessels that have made contact thus far:

My own dear Galaxy Class, USS Temeraire
Captain M'Yao’s Galaxy Class, USS Leonidas
Captain Khan’s Sovereign Class, USS Dave Bowman
Captain Lombardino’s Prometheus, Class USS Bellerophone
Captain Aylor’s Intrepid Class, USS Nomad
Captain Neris’s Luna class, USS Oceania
Captain Emat’s Steamrunner, Class USS Bukhara
Captain Wode’s Nova class, USS Constitution
Captain Alexander’s Centaur Class, USS Gryphon
Captain T’kral’s Olympic class, USS Nightingale

I make that count ten Starfleet ships. I have put out a call to all Civilian ships to submit their manifests and capabilities, so as to determine which ships are overburdened, and which can provide room for the overflow of population. I must also remember to ask Captain T’Kral what the Capabilities of the Nightingale are. I assume that, preparing for an evacuation, Starfleet command would have fully stocked them, but better to ask than to realize when the need comes that we lack supplies.

Captain’s Log - Stardate Unknown - Captain Aylor of the USS Nomad

We departed Bajor when things turned grim and rushed to Earth’s defense. I cannot say what the actual fate of Bajor and Deep Space 9 was, but I can guess. When arrived at Earth we immediately picked up a distress call from a shuttle in a degrading orbit with no power. We were able to transport 5 adult humans and 3 children before their craft fell into the atmosphere. It was at this point that a strange phenomenon transported the fleet to our current location. My Science Officer, LCdr Ra’Vesti is currently trying to determine what actually transported us. In the meantime, I have received request for a meeting aboard the USS Temeraire. Aylor out.

To All Civilian Ships:
This is Acting Fleet Captain Thomas Sanchez of the USS Temeraire. I have assumed Command of the military structure until the time either that Contact can be reestablished with Starfleet Command and Federation Officials, or until a proper Chain of Command Can be established by Starfleet Officers. Until that Time, I ask that you remain calm and send a Ship manifest to the Nearest Starfleet Vessel, as well as moving into the protective Range of the Starfleet Warships. While we do not know where we are, it is safe to assume that the Borg are, at least temporarily, not hunting us.

OOC: Changing my Captain's Name to Emmanuel Lombard.

* * *

I rubbed my hands against my forehead, still attempting to comprehend the recent turn of events. Before, I understood the magnanimity of the former war and was ready to perform my duty whatever the cost, but this recent situation had thrown my mental state into whack. Previously, I fully accepted that the war could very well result in my death -- or worse, yet now my vessel and I have been transported an infinite distance from Earth into both safety and exile. What an interesting position to be in; isolated perpetually from the rest of the Federation, but also safe from the war that has ravaged hundreds of planets.

My vessel, the USS Bellerophon, is perhaps the most advanced ship in the Federation navy. Our duty was to help those who were ravaged by the war and see to their safety, whatever the cost. Because of this event, I have failed in that mission.

What can I do? What should I do? At least the presence of other Federation vessels eases the burden I feel. I'll reflect on our options before meeting with Captain Sanchez aboard the USS Temeraire.

I press the small button in front of me.

"Captain's Log, Stardate ..." I pause for a moment, not sure how time has been affected by our journey. I sigh before admitting, "... Stardate unknown. We have been transported to an unknown location, unexplored by any Federation vessel. Our distance from Earth is too large to even mutter in a single breath. It seems the entirety of the Bellerophon, including the entire crew, has been affected by this event. However, we aren't the only ones to be affected; it seems a sizeable contingent of Starfleet is in our same predicament. A meeting of all remaining Federation commanders has been requested by Captain Sanchez of the Temeraire. I've ordered the crew to maintain standard procedure as I ponder our options. I hope the meeting can bring insight to our next course of action."

Hey,

Can I still get in? This is one of my STO ships. Everything except for the number.

Ship: USS Empress Hoona NCC-61488
Class: Saber Class-Scout
Captain: Floyd "Fox" Finnegan (Human)
Crew Count and Composition: 52(200): 36 humans, 11 Andorian, 4 Vulcans, 1 Betazoid

Captain's Log-Stardate Unknown, Captain Finnegan, USS Empress Hoona
The retreat from the Andorian system has left us with 11 Andorian civilians, 3 male and 8 females and a Betaziod female as passengers. We have received orders to make for Earth for the evacuation. It is most likely the Empress Hoona won't make it in time to save any lives. But she will make the Borg pay for all the lives lost.

Captain's Log-Supplemental, Captain Finnegan, USS Empress Hoona
The ship dropped from wrap at Mars 23:01 hours. At 1 minute 23 seconds the ship was engulfed in a vortex or wormhole. I have order Science officer Miyabi to run the star charts to see if we can get some bearings. A general Hail on all frequencies has been ordered. Maybe other ships have been caught. Anyway stores are being inventoried and our new passengers are being assigned quarters.

Captain’s Log - Stardate Unknown - Captain T’Kral of the USS Nightengale
Approximately three hours and seventeen minutes ago, an unknown space-time anomaly transported the Nightengale, along with several otherSstarfleet vessels, to our current unknown location. Shortly after emergence, a small asteroid impacted out port Nacelle. damage was minimal, but we were forced to pull to warp core offline to enact repairs. Estimated time to the completion of repairs is eight hours and forty two minutes, and we expect no difficulties.

Communications to Captain Thomas Sanchez
In response to your inquiries of the status of the Nightingales supplies, I am forwarding a copy of our inventory.

Captain's Log, stardate unknown. The Bukhara has encountered a mysterious anomaly while on duty defending Sector 001, apparently transporting us far from our original location. A large part of Earth's defense force seems to have been similarly affected, and several dozen ships are nearby. There have been no reported physical effects on ship or crew.

Captain's Log, supplemental. Voyager comparisons have already begun. Prospects of returning within our lifetimes look bleak at best. Commander Swanson and four others have had to be temporarily relieved from their posts for counseling. The ship is still operating at a high level of performance, but our best course of action is unclear. We shall have to consult with the other vessels in the Fleet.

Captain's Log, supplemental. Contact established with the other vessels, but no solutions offered by anyone.

Personal Log, Captain Emat. I must remain a rock for my crew, but surely Sazar senses my unease. I've been unable to sleep well since the war began, but this above all else seems like some awful dream. What am I supposed to do? I had two brothers in the Fleet, and though I know they likely wouldn't live long against the Borg, I wish I could see them all the same. My father and mother as well... The crew, of course, have been cut off from husbands and wives, and children -- this is a personal disaster on some level for everyone, I think. Bizarrely, though, my mind keeps drifting back to the Earth, which now likely lies undefended...

Captain's Log, supplemental. The nature of the anomaly which caught up the Bukhara and the rest of the fleet remains unknown. Similarly, we only have the faintest inkling of where we are -- the spiral of the Milky Way is easily visible to us, almost taunting us, but other than that... We also have no idea when we are; my science officer has still not established whether the anomaly we encountered was purely spatial or temporal in nature. The fate of Earth remains unknown, but as long as we have no idea where we have been launched in time, all that is rather irrelevant -- and our course of action remains unclear. It could well be that we have been launched into the past, and that if we journeyed home we would change history forever. Or, perhaps, it is the distant future and the entire galaxy has fallen under the sway of the Borg. Captain Sanchez of the Temeraire has called for a meeting, but without further information I'm skeptical that anything can really be accomplished. There remain too many unknowns.

Personal Log, Captain Emat. On several levels, I am thankful for the other ships, and not merely for the fact that they have accompanied us into this hell. If we were in Voyager's place, the factions on board this ship would surely have already come to blows. Commander Swanson will be held in check, I think, by the presence of the Starfleet chain of command.

Captain's Log, USS Bowman, stardate unknown

Our ship was in orbit around the planet Jupiter as part of Earth's last defense fleet, as reported in my previous log. Since then, we have been mysteriously transported to an unknown location outside the known galaxy, father than I believe any Federation citizen has ever traveled. Fortunately, a number of other ships, Starfleet and civilian, were transported along with the Dave Bowman, and Captain Sanchez of the USS Temeraire has assumed command.

Although we were able to record the anomaly responsible, and I gave assigned my science officer Lieutenant Jorz'kan to investigate, we have been unable to determine anything about the nature or source of the anomaly.

USS Oceania NCC-83578, Captains Official Logg; Stardate Unknown
In the First Captains Meeting of the Fleet we managed to arrange bacical arrangement which primarily involved in sheltering the fugitives we loaded and protecting formation of civilian ships we're tagging along. Also we discussed our position in the space. We tried to get federation time signal but werent unsucessful to get any signals from the whole federation including Earth, Vulcan, DS9. We stranded with 10 FederationShips and a bunch of CivilianShips. We are unsure what to do and are primarily involved in repairing damages our ships got. And sending technicians and doctors helping civilian ships out.
More than 10, when we get more

USS Oceania NCC-83578, Captains Log, supplemental; Stardate Unknown
We finished our repairs on the ship and are likely full operational. We had suffered some structural damages too, but were able to fix it. We even replicated some of the hull materials to get it fixed.
Mainly awaiting orders from fleet commander Captain Sanchez of the USS Temeraire, inner ship conference with my bridge crew was held. Think we are going to explore the environment while working on the anomaly research too.
