The same I think of people who ask such questions.

It lists the rules: "cover yourself", "don't make a noise", "don't move", "only light can make Them go away", and what's possibly a corollary, "flashlights make it worse".

What would you think if a guy walked up to you and said "Even Pancake Crystal Elderly Dragon."
I would tell him he quoted wrong.

What does this mean, esp. the bolded parts? Its from an article.

Also, is 65 mph fast?

The young man hints at shady connections ("Anything you want, I can get," he says, though no one takes up his offer) as he drives through downtown Miami at an average speed of about 65 m.p.h.
"So you're in a band?" he asks.
"A rock band."
"You new on the scene?"
Campbell can't resist. "No, we're been around about two years," he says with a straight face. [NOTE: The band had actually been around for over 10 years at this point]
"Well, I wish you a lot of success, and I hope it all doesn't go up your nose."

He's talking about cocaine.

EDIT: Well various drugs in the first bolded part. And cocaine in the 2nd part.

Thanks. :)

What does this mean?

"the uniform for the day is a big [feces]-eatin' grin"

It means going round with a dopey smile.

This article uses some strange expressions.

What does this mean?

"ogle the extra-healthy young things frolicking by the pool"

It means looking at young women in a lecherous (i.e. pervy) way ;)

What does this mean?

"ogle the extra-healthy young things frolicking by the pool"

srsly?

'Ogle' basically means to stare, usually in the context of eye-humping someone or lust.

Women are referred to as 'things' in the sentence. So, healthy young things obviously means young women. No fatties.

Oh and apparently they are by the pool.

Srsly?

EDIT: Ninja'd by PS (my internet lingo might be way off, is that the correct use of the term "ninjad' in forum-speak?)(or is it a cross-post?)

Why the srsly? I knew what ogle meant but I didnt understand the "things"

In this article, they also mention that the band is talking to "would-be crumpets." I looked that up and it said "a thick soft cake with a porous texture; cooked on a griddle." Is there a meaning that I dont get?

I usually reserve ninja'd for fast edits.

Anything fast and sneaky really.

EDIT: Crumpet is British slang for hot wimminz. It's very old fashioned though

What is the modern term for 'crumpet?' Is 'bird' still used? Or maybe 'broad?'

Bird is still used.

Babe seems more popular nowadays.

I'm really not down with the kids slang. I'm 39.

Thats odd because it's an American article. It's from the 1980s and I don't know 1980s slang too well.
