Well, Yoshi already provided a download URL: Next War Mod.

On my computer, it is less than 32 Megabytes in size.

If what SK says is true, then you might have a clue as to why your recent attempt to use AND has not worked... you apparently need some files from a different mod to run AND! :crazyeye:

Maybe we can have the third message of this thread updated to reflect the fact that we will be playing Beyond the Sword using the Next War Mod as it came out-of-the-box, meaning that anyone who has BtS can participate.
Updated post #3. Sorry about that :p

Next War. Post #3 has been updated for anyone who deleted the mod.

How does Prince sound to you?

I vote for Monarch! :p

Um.... I vote Prince.

Ok, here's where the settings currently stand. Any objections?

Things to Note:
  • There are 10 AI's
  • Only Permanent Alliances are on
  • I'll probably change the name to "Yoshi" :D

I believe we should do a Pangea or Continents map, not Earth2.

Pangaea is preferred. Some of you skilled players can just take over the entire continent in Continents for an unbeatable tech lead :p

Not me. :D

I'm much better at warring than teching, apparantely, if my monarch game is any indicator.

I would enable all Victory Conditions. It's hard enough to win a regular Succession Game when you limit the Victory Condition types, as you need to plan for a particular victory condition, which requires a lot of discussion... I imagine that we don't plan to have the required level of discussion.

Since we are going to have many players with conflicting ideas of how to play the game with likely very little discussion between players, it's going to be hard enough to win even WITHOUT a Mole sabotaging things. ;)

Standard Size is good... any bigger and my computer would likely failboat.

Difficulty Level doesn't matter to me and I'll play on any level.

It would be nice to get a Leader that has an early-game or mid-game Unique Unit, if for no other reason than to give the "team" an implicitly coherent strategy (i.e. spam our Unique Unit everywhere).

I think we should be India or Rome. For leaders, Asoka or Julius. Strong leaders, good, early UUs (Fast Worker is an EXCELLENT UU in my experience), and in the case of the praetorian, unstoppable (I've conquered the world before 1000 AD with praetorian spam, on a pangea map).
