Okay, I tried reinstalling Beyond the Sword and played again.
Things were mostly the same, but I accidentally explored in a slightly different direction with my units, so we saw a bit of a different area of Greece and a second Chariot made the kill of the last Barbarian Warrior for the capturing of the Barb City. Otherwise, most of the stuff was done the same, so I didn't make new screenshots.
Try this version of the saved game, mayor, and let us know if it worked.

Didn't do much this TS.
Roaded where the signs said to road, explored a bit and changed Augusta's build queue to Axemen. I've put a sign where I think a good city location would be as well. Oh, and... I renamed a Chariot. You'll all find it amusing...

May I ask what it was that Isabella thanked you for doing, particularly before we learned Alphabet?
It seems that some of our Cities have grown into Unhappiness. It's too bad that a Religion does not seem to have spread our way, as building Temples might be a nice thing to do if doing so were possible.
I'm thinking that we'll want to set our Science Slider to 0% and collect as much Gold as we can. As soon as our army moves out (presumably towards Kublai Khan) they are going to start costing us a lot of Gold per Turn in Unit Supply Costs.
Also, maybe it might be worth going for Currency in place of Iron Working, since we already have Copper (and thus don't need Iron). Iron Working can always be received from a tech trade deal later.
By the way, nice work in continuing to build up a stack of military units! It should be fun for the next player to go after Kublai.

I don't think it affects our happiness at present. I figured it was better to improve relations with Izzy, since soon we should have direct control of the Ivory.
Kublai is probably the best target: he has nice land, and plenty of green for cottaging.
