The most Beautiful Language?

This is inspired by the most beautiful word in the english lang thread. What would be the most beautiful language in your opinion? The one that you could listen to for hours as if it were music?

For me it would be Gaelic, the native language of Ireland. It is like Welsh but a bit harsher and much more alive and spoken. My granda can speak it and I want to learn it.

How many language does one know? and what percentage of possible languages does that represent? How do you think one is qualified to commend as which is the most beautiful of the bunch without knowing even a fraction of all possible languages?

obviously, i mean of the ones you know. It is impossible to know every tribal tongue or local dialect in the world

I third the motion that Gaelic is the most beautiful language! In fact my CFC name is Gaelic. Spanish is a very close second. English, is, well, way down there, though I hope the whole world learns to speak it.

I got cussed out in Russian about fifteen years ago. It was beautiful. I still don't know what she said.....but it was poetic.

Personally I will say Japanese is the most beautiful. Though Russian is a good second.

naw, german can be spoken quite beautifully. My least favorite language is Thai; wonderful culture and country but the language isn't my cup of tea

Out of the three I know, definately Russian. Or perhalps Pushkin just has a way with words.

I also know english and some french.

Indeed. After she got done with her little speil, I turned to a coworker who spoke russian rather fluently, and asked what she said. He got embarrassed and said, "Um, she's not happy with that."

But like I said, it was poetic!
