ooc: It would be illogical for Red_Spy to betray the WP. Namely because he can do whatever he wants within the pact to those outside it in the full knowledge that none of us would stop him and because it imposes no restraints on what people do outside of the pact, and also because he has that support network should some sod and his friends from without seek to topple him due to the pacts defensive modus operandi.
Ergo, although I don't trust red_spy (due to ingrained paranoia
) I would consider any assertion of his on such things as not betraying the WP to be more likely to be true compared to assertions from those without to the contrary, as continued fidelity to the pact is the more logical option.

Just a note.
Il Papa is unlikely to deign remaining in a pact it joined under the understanding that it was a collection of neutral states. Should it come to pass through affirmative action that the warsaw pact becomes something other than that original intent, or that it becomes a power consumed with the exercise of war via gravely immoral means, then we will use that get out clause we joined with and depart in order to preserve our neutrality and allow us to continue to follow the will of God and the teachings of the Church.
However I will note that if we get terrorists conflicting with our east asian interests, then this fact will result in their ideal of China never rising again due to a first in MP, papal involvement in foreign conflicts.

Well too bad for him. Kongo joined the WP in order to be a neutral nation. The founder is allowed to do as he wishes, just as are the rest of the members.
Those actions do not transfer to us.
It was an ordinary day in the PUB. People had woken up, showered, gone to work, and it looked for all the world like just another day. It wouldn't last.
Suddenly, in a monitering station in Dover, an alarm began beeping. Then another. And another. Within a minute, the room was being pelted with a discordant cacophany of noise. The man at the desk looked desperately through his screens, before hitting the emergancy channel. "This is Station Echo-3-7, emergancy code 'Red 2', I have multiple launches detected from Partitionanian missile sites. I say again, multiple Partitionanian missile launches detected..."
In the command center, chaos erupted. "Stations Echo-3-7, Echo-3-8, Echo-2-4, Echo... ALL Echo stations are reporting Partitionanian missile launches!"
"Vengance Warning systems reporting the same, multiple missile launches!"
"BUS-054 reports it has a visual confirmation of at least one missile launch!"
"Get me a link to UMP systems immidiately!"
"Scramble all available assets!"
The airforce base in central England had been a picture of idle inactivity. Until the intercom sounded. "All squadrons this is an emergancy scramble! DAPWL 2 has been declared and we need every plane ready to launch immidiately!" Suddenly, there were people running every which way, shouting conflicting orders and questions. The entire base had erupted in movement, with the roar of engines starting overlaying the situation.
Aboard the newly renamed BUS-01, Captain McTavish was enjoying his morning cup of coffee. Then the alarm blared out. "All crew members this is a Red 2 Emergancy Alert! All hands to battlestations!" McTavish nearly dropped his mug. He raced out of his cabin, barreling towards the bridge as the men and women around him burst into frantic activity.
"Sir!" Ensign McShoutout was monitering communications. "Message from Command; they've detected multiple launches from Partitionanian territory, and they're scrambling everything to full readiness. Thye went to DAPWL 2."
Across the PUB, the same story was repeated over and over, with military units shocked out of their comfortable routine and forced into emergancy stations and battle-imminent status. Nobody knew quite what was happening, and everybody was afraid to find out.

It's funny... when Oz and Korea invaded India, I used this same argument to defend myself (in reverse, obviously). In that scenario, it was "omg comintern evuuul" Now that it is happening to you guys, you are, as well, using it to defend yourself, but now it is okay because it is you instead of us.
