[BTS] The NOOBle Prince of Portugal

Oh, ok. So they have to be in the same tile. Can i move the submarine around with the missiles ready?

Just got a diplomatic victory at the second vote. Does anyone know exactly how good needs to be the relation for another civ vote in you? Im sure i saw it somewhere on the wiki but i cant find it now. I googled like crazy because in the first vote my "friend" abstained and i wanted to know how much i needed to improve relation to get his vote. In the end i didnt need his vote because i took another city and with my votes + vassal were enough.

Now its time to up difficulty to prince level :king:
Yes, you can use all of Submarine (or Missile Cruiser later in game) movement points if need that to get closest to enemy and can still select missile onboard and use it for attack.
I know that AI has to be Friendly against you (and more Friendly than 2nd choise for victory - if Huayna is +14 vs you and +13 vs Pacal for example (both Friendly), you get that vote) to vote for win. Forgot exact number... +10 or more I think...

Just gave up on my Prince game, koreans were destroying me. Not sure if i messed up too much or if the difficulty jump is big, but koreans were expanding very fast. Was in sandwich between them and India. Anyway i think i f**** up because i got one city far from my capital to get strategic resources before indias did, and all the sudden i could only tech at 10%!! Guess its too expensive to build cities far away.

It happens. I lost my first few games before I could reliably win on Prince. It can be discouraging when things aren't going well, but that is the nature of this game sometimes. The trick to advancing from Noble to Prince is to focus on economy and development. Make sure you have enough workers and are improving tiles well. Pick techs to research that you can leverage into trades with the AIs. Above all: persist. If you can win at Noble, you can win at Prince (with some practice and a bit of economic improvement).

I just wanted to offer you a bit of encouragement. I am not an expert player (far from it, actually) but I am decent and I've won my last two Monarch games. If you post your game as you go, I can weigh in with a few specifics that may prove useful. And I'm sure that other forum-goers would pitch in as well. We can offer better advice with more pictures + description of the specifics of your situation.

Thanks. I dont loose motivation when i loose, actually i was loosing it when i won the noble game, was so easy that it became boring, now that its a challenge i am very motivated to learn.
Im learning that economy is key, before i only wanted hammers to build stuff, but i saw that if i dont have good commerce i will fall back in tech. Last game that was my demise, more so because i was in a desert. This game had a good start, but barbarians destroyed two cities (lesson learned, dont be greedy) :cringe:.
Anyway the thing that im having more trouble with lately is city location, im not sure how far should i go to get good resources and if i should use ok empty space near my capital to build cities focused on cottages.
I would love if someone could have a look on my save to see city locations to take my doubts.

Build or not?
1- Fumarada: Its very far, and i wont be able to work much tiles there but incense gives so much commerce and happy faces (maybe cant even build two plantations).
2- Matorral: all the resources were taken, but there are lots of grassland around, so my idea is to go heavy on cottages.
3- Porto Seguro: my hero is financial so water tiles are better and there is fish and rice...
4- Was thinking if i should build a new city between Ari/Timberland/Teoihuacan, there is a bit of space there, no resources but there are decent tiles to work and potencial for shared cottages. Yes or no?
