The NRA Finally Responds With Its "Meaningful Contributions"

Now there's some hypocritical far-right "authoritarian" humor for all to enjoy. Feinstein is advocating common sense measures that no rational adult living in a modern country should have any problem agreeing with.
Why are things "common sense measures" when they come from Ds, but right right authoritarian when it comes from Rs?

This is a disturbing trend.

The Patriot Act is defended in the same way by those on the right that you claim are "authoritarian", but when the left does it, for you, it's common sense.

Can you explain this?

Its disengenuous, especially if you don't call attention to it during an ongoing conversation.

There is even a nifty "reason for editing" function for this purpose.

It makes no matter, his positions are irredeemable in this arguement, it's just another indication of the weakness of his arguement.
So that is your excuse for completely misinterpreting your own article, even after it was pointed out to you in bold? It was because I made some minor editing changes to my own post?

And I'm the one being "disingenuous"?

Only that obviously isn't the "trend", much less being "disturbing" given that it is indeed basic common sense in any modern country on the planet.

What I find "disturbing" is how a so-called "moderate" is parroting the far-right authoritarians and doesn't even realize it yet again.

So Israel and Switzerland aren't modern?
And, because something is common in many places automatically makes it right?
Numbers = right, ok, I will remember that.

They are hardly sterling examples of anything but "authoritarian" in their approaches to proper firearm ownership by civilians. But you apparently don't even realize that your examples are actually contradicting your own use of the word.

Nice straw man, as usual.

Everyone in Switzerland having a fully automatic rifle in their house is hardly what I would call strict.

Nice straw man, as usual.
No argument of substance to make I take it?

The nice thing about watching Formaldehyde debate Kochman is that both of them will go away thinking they've utterly trounced their opponent, so nobody has to feel bad about it.

Only they obviously don't. You don't seem to know the basic facts about your own examples.

Try arguing what I stated instead of what you made up.

Kochman is winning here. Form is, as is typical, defending authoritarianism from the Democrats.

My right to swing my fist ends when it hits your face. My owning a gun is not hitting you in the face, my shooting you is, and anything less should be legal.

I get that you are scared of people owning guns...
Let's just have a beer to make the peace. There is nothing to fear there, right?

Thanks for not siding with me while apparently even trying to rationalize far greater authoritarianism. That is the sort of testimonial that people can usually only dream about getting.

It's pretty clear Forma knows (but can't accept) he always loses, it's really the only way to explain his posting style.

It certainly explains his anti military conspiracy theories, even though his rejection had to 20 odd years ago.

Why won't you answer about having a beer summit?
What could keep you from wanting to make peace?

Thanks for not siding with me. :goodjob:

Frankly, I find this entire conversation hysterical.

Sometimes I do side with you but here you are just plain out being inconsistent. You claim to abhor authoritarianism and your way of showing it is to confiscate every assault weapon in the country.

Some way of showing it Form.

He is scared of beer, do you have any idea how many shooting deaths involve alcohol!!!

GhostWriter, do you support the right of groups such as the Black Panthers to arm themselves with the explicit purpose of opposing the United States government, Y/N?

Just to make sure we're taking this "consistency" thing seriously.

Well, coffee then?
Obviously he and I got on a bad tangent, and I want to correct that. Face to face is the best way... the internet gets too impersonal.

Whatever you do, don't ask the "libertarians" and "non-authoritarians" how they feel about the ACLU and the rights of homosexuals.
