Alex Jones new movie.

All I can say is I said I would watch Obama with a wary eye. Obama acting like he will do everything possible about AIG's bonuses, knowing damn well he knew about them before they were payed out, has sealed the deal for me.

He gives out little candies to the left, like ending the ban on stem cell research, or allowing federally funded abortion, all the while, he is packing dynamite at America's foundations.

Another horrible 8 years for America are coming.

The whole mark-to-market, Barney Frank, worst economic crisis ever but now everything is going to be peachy, has really turned me off. I'm not voting Republican but Obama needs to get it together. I know Frank isn't something Obama can control but he and Dodd are populist knuckleheads.

Don't count the 2012 chicken before it hatches.

8? One of two things will happen. Either the next four years will be horrible and Obama won't be re-elected, or the next four years won't be horrible and he will be.

he'll be elected, no matter how bad things get, because everyone will still be blaming Bush.

It bugs me too, but I understand why he's doing it - this is the chance he has to push his agenda. He probably won't get another chance to do major reforms until after the economy recovers.

Agree on Frank and Dodd.

Alex Jones? Seriously, I have no problem criticizing Obama, but come up w/ something legit, not just more of the "New World Order" stuff. BTW, Glenn Beck has been drinking from the Alex Jones well lately, so at least you got that going for you.

It's a bad situation. In case you haven't noticed, there's a real crisis going on. Unfortunately, allot of important stuff is falling on the wayside while that crisis is being dealt with.

It's one of the perils of the modern world that we can watch Washington more closely. It allows for greater oversight, but making laws is like making sausages, in both cases the process is disgusting to watch.

@Shane: Obama knew about the bonuses. Now he pretends to be outraged. It's costing political capital.

Yeah, I know and have known who Alex Jones is, but you know what?

IT'S TRUE!

I remember Obama voting for FISA, and thinking WTH? I remember Obama saying we would be out of Iraq pronto... then he started to change.

He has done like 3 tiny things I agree with, everything else has been more of the same.

I have no shame in displaying an Alex Jones movie. He may be angry and eccentric, and sometimes exaggerate, but I am done with Obama. I have said, to many people's disbelief, I was glad Bush won, I was. I was glad Obama won, and was hoping he would be a people's candidate. He isn't. I already see who is buttering his bread.

The number of federal politicians I trust I can count on one hand, but I can always pick them out, because they vote what is obviously their principles, and are oft one of a handful of dissenting voices. They stand up tall and bring outrageous bills to the floor, that should be costing them their seats, but never do.

The other 530 stooges do as their parties tell them to.

Mega BS on that one if you were paying attention Obama supposedly says "contrary to popular belief I was not born in A manger, I was actually born on Krypton" um...

Good thing your a Republican.
At least its refreshing to see honestly for a change even if it means your sticking to your guns about the bonuses.

However, when Congress debated limiting executive pay last month, these same key Republican lawmakers stood firm in opposing such caps. McConnell argued against the “temptation” to “dictate” business practices when it comes to salaries and bonuses:

MCCONNELL: “I really don’t want the government to take over these businesses and start telling them everything about what they can do. […] We have to resist the temptation to basically dictate to these businesses how to run every aspect of their operation.” [ABC News, 2/4/09]

Similarly, Shelby demanded a laissez-faire approach to executive compensation as Congress pressed Secretary Paulson for details of the bailout plan:

SHELBY: “It should be up to the board of directors of a private corporation to set the compensation of an executive; it shouldn’t be Congress’s role.” [Washington Post, 9/23/08]

Not all conservatives have backtracked from their previous positions on executive compensation. Rush Limbaugh, on his program yesterday, said, “I am all for the AIG bailouts, and I am all for the AIG bonuses. Well, I’m not for the bailouts, well, in a way I’m for the bailout because I’m for the bonuses.”

The proper time to see "who's buttering a candidate's bread" is prior to the election. You may have to cut through a lot of political bull, but if you want to stop being disappointed then you have to do your homework.

That was from the party where politicians tell jokes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_E._Smith_Memorial_Foundation_Dinner

@FF: I might be conservative on fiscal policy and neocon on foreign policy, but I don't vote republican.

Ive done my homework. I'm glad Obama won, because he beat McCain. I'm glad Obama won, because soon many right wing fanatics are going to wake up, (like Glenn Beck).

You voted democrate ?

Green....

I'm kind of a "mainly one issue" voter. I feel environmental issues are the source of our problems. I might vote repub or democrat if I really identify with a candidate, but that's more state/local elections.

I would never have guessed...
