#1: Organized does not reduce city maintenance cost organized does not reduce city maintenance cost organized does not reduce city maintenance cost!!!

Only thing it reduces is [civic] maintenance cost.. Civics happen to cost more when your empire is larger, so yes it helps that way in having larger empires.

But it doesn't directly reduce city maintenance cost!

#2: Without Bhruic's patch, you cannot found corps under Mercantilism! Also, regardless of patch, you cannot found, spread or use corps under State Property!!! Always check your civic first!!!!!!!

#3: Passive spy missions are passive! They happen automatically!

#4: You need Feudalism and at least 2 cities on another land mass (completely seperated by water, no matter the size, from the one where your capital resides) in order to create a colony. The "fist" icon in the F1 city screen will help you out in creating it!

Add to the list, guys ;)

Narmox, full of caffeine

# 6 : The fans have run extensive tests; the random number generator/combat odds are NOT weighted toward the AI.

#7 You need all 5 casings to make sure your ship does not crash. Launching a ship with missing casings gives you a significant chance of faulire.

[edit] changed to #7... Bandobras Took beaten me to 6

#8 Use the search function in the forum

For whatever problem you have, there is a high chance that it has already been discussed. So use the search function!

#4 should read "You must have Vassal States Enabled", not "you must have Vassalage"; seeing as Vassalage is a particular civic option which is not (as far as I know) required to make colonies.

#9: The AI is smarter in BtS than in previous versions. They fight better. They will attack you if they sense you are weak. Plus, they will always be able to support more soldiers than you.

#10: If you're not good at warring, build more siege.

#12: If you hate the AP so much, why don't you build it first?

#13: If the AP is a problem, then go in with your military might and burn the city down!

#14: Despite what others have said about the AI, CivIV AI is still stupid. :p It will reject a favorable deal and come back 2 turns later to offer something that is much more unfavorable to it. ;) Of course as the player you won't be complaining about this one.

#15: After buying the AI's World Map for 10 gold, the next turn later, the AI would want to exchange maps with you, despite the fact you already did get their crappy map for a low price and that you later on find out when trading your map for money to them, that your map is worth 200 gold, not their crappy 5 gold map

#18 Civ IV is not a historical simulation... deal with it :p

#19 Global warming in Civ IV doesn't have nothing to do with CO2 , but with nuke contamination... and it doesn't melt ice or tundra... deal with it :p

#20 when having a problem with a game or when asking advice on what to do, post a save and/or screenshots.... no one is psychic in here ( AFAIK  ) and if you want more than hunches or educated guesses, you have to give people some intel.

#21 Hitler is not in the game and he won't be in the game. Don't start a thread about it.

(Basically i would like to add to that - if you theoretically could start yet one more A.H thread, please get at least some basic historical factual knowledge of him. Not the ignorant **** which is what those threads usually start with.)

What kind... He did pull Germany out of the depression and back into a position where they were more powerful militarily than their neighbours. He has a sound case to be in if Stalin, Mao and such are in. Remember Germany were hit worse than anyone else in the depression because they lost the American loans that had allowed them to begin to economically reconstruct and repay the reparations to France following the war. Remember also that if the Holocaust is the reason that you don't wish him to be in the game, that Stalin kill many times more of his own (and surrounding areas).

PS: I am not a Neo-Nazi. I have no admiration for this man whatsoever and I have absoloutly no belief in any of his ideologies. This is entirely from a neutral perspective based upon the issue of Stalin and Mao being in the game.

#22 If multiple AIs declare war on you in the same turn, it is very likely that the act has something to do with the AP.

#23 No, there is no way to counter 5 barbarian archers in 3500 B.C. Just start a new game.

#24 Yes, ariships are game-technically and historically absolute nonsense, but I don't think Firaxis is going to remove them.

#25 Aggresive Barbarians are really AGGRESSIVE. Either build the Great Wall or deal with it

#26 If a certain aspect of the game really bugs you, either deal with it or edit it out in the XML. :)
