The Peanut Gallery

@XIII: I guess you're right. Oh well.

*crosses out "PG Ressurection" off of list*

It's not really a bad idea - so long as the posters behave. But with CFC growing so big these days, that's getting harder and harder...

One is tempted to suggest that self moderation be used. By that I don't mean that we moderate our own posts, but any poster can step up and say 'Enough' and close the post. Deletion, however, should only be done by, say, the OT mods.

I wouldn't mind seeing a spam forum, it might be interesting. But it sounds like it's going to be more hassle than it's worth.

Edit: It just occured to me that if anyone can lock it, anyone else can unlock it. And it wouldn't stop someone from just starting a new thread. Oh well. . .

Also you would probabl have to make everyone mods so that they could lock threads but it would be possible to make say 20 mods that have the sole purpose of controlling the spam in one forum.

Can be, but we choose to have special secrete super moderators.

:egypt:

Its not a joke, you have to be a mod to know... Although it should be Lefty that is the only supermod.

We don't need anything like this.

I'm perfectly content to spam in OT. I think the mods have an unspoken rule about it - if you spam, but its at least mildly amusing, it stays.

If it's mildly amusing to all 4 official OT mods, as well as the secret supermods, it stays. If any single one finds it nonsensical, it goes. ;)

Oh dear, you Mods are most confusing. Truthfully, probably Lefty is the only SuperMod, I think, or like to think . . . .

I guess you need to find some fun in this job, other then controlling, or attempting to, all of us Spammers. I wonder, in the Private Mod Forum, do you guys Spam . . . ?

And yes, I know the only way to find out is to "become a Mod", as XIII has pointed out . . . over and over again . . .

Yeah, it's like the UN Security Council permanent members - every each one has veto powers. :mischief:
