The Playground Mod

"Bugs" I found:

1. Girl warrior is set to upgrade to Girl Trooper, but the "Upgrade Unit" bow is unchecked. Also, it "ignores movement cost" of forest, not sure if that is intended (it would only matter if you made an army of them).

2. Why the hell is Fire Salamander amphibious?

I'll add more as I find them while I play another game of this mod, with one of the "good" civs this time, but on Emperor.

1. We'll have to fix that.... And about the ignore movement in forest, I think we did that with all the girl units (Not sure.... Might have forgotten), because on the Playground map, they start out in the middle of a forest. We also did the same thing with Freak Attack, as they too start in the middle of un forest.

2. I dunno. Char needed an amphibious unit.

Change the flamethrower to be the amphibious unit.

Aagh! Factories + assembly lines + no rails =

I'm too addicted to rails. :(

I noticed that stupidity never goes away. Realistic or not, it's annoying. I think when you put "15" as the duration, it reads it as "15 years", or 912 turns.

No, the way I've rigged it, is that each turn is 3 days (equating to years, cause I changed the script file). So that's what's annoying me, because of the never ending stupidity plague.

I'm putting much of the Mod information on an MS Word file so I can print it out and make some sense of it. While doing that, I saw that the Dragoon has "Upgrade Unit" checked, but does not have a unit to upgrade to. I haven't checked the civilopedia yet, but I assume it's supposed to upgrade to something.

*Continues to point out little things*

Grand Horde's stats are 17.11.3 (15.0.0). In order to make bombard work, I think you need to have at least one rate of fire. ;)

EDIT: Oh, wait... it has zone of control... I'm not too sure how that one works... :hmm:

EDITEDIT: Dragon also doesn't have any rate of fire... but it has a bombard range... :hmm:

It's supposed to upgrade to Heavy Dragoon.....

Argh, stupid little mistakes....
Actually, I decided against it, because some people would prefer the speed rather than slow down.

Umm... I think ZOC uses the attack strength, cause tanks in regular Civ III have it.

Huh? I'll go check that. (after I go home)

As the Rebs in one game, I conquered most of Senso, FA, and UF Outposts in my land.
Cool.

And what do you mean by Senso Outposts? Because Senso's core cities are near yours, so did you have a massive battle, or something? And if you did, did you get pictures? Pictures are pretty. :D

I found something else: Boy Mercenary upgrades from a unit that is more expensive (Barbarian). I think you should just cut that upgrade line. You might also want to make Boy Mercenaries require well, Mercenaries.

Well, yeah, that's supposed to happen. You're supposed to go from a stronger but more expensive unit to a cheaper but weaker unit. It's to represent the decline of BU soldier quality but increase in numbers that occured near 5th grade.

Oh.

EDIT: Oops. This was a rather pointless post. I'll go scrounge through the .biq more until I find more mistakes. :scan:

Fighter has upgrade unit checked, but doesn't have a unit to upgrade to...

Well, that would be from where I forgot to uncheck it when I just imported the Civ III Fighter.
