The Playground Mod

Downloaded the mod last night, and installed it... Stand by for the chronicles of attempt as the Girls in stories and tales....

:)

Cultural wins are your easiest option. But seeing a conquest win will be most impressive. :)

Actually I might end up going for a graduation victory.... If I'm forced into a fight, my plan is to be able to out-produce the enemy...

I'm playing with my own personal "Sierra Club" variant... Basically what that variant states is that 1) you may NOT build any pollution causing buildings, Small Wonders or Great wonders and 2) you may NOT allow any city to grow to a size which produces population pollution (especially since they screwed Conquests by changing the Mass Transit system so that instead of completley eliminating pop pollution like it did in PTW, it only reduces it to 1), which means that I'll have a ton of small, high production cities that are almost all spaced on a CxxC type pattern (meaning they can be re-inforced from any neighboring city in 1 turn).

Ah, environmentally friendly variant.

We'll see how it turns out. :)

My computer is being a complete nut sack. It just errors out whenever it loads saying it couldn't find the file. I unzip it all into the conquests directory right, and the load it though Conquests! in the main menu... correct?

EDIT: So what happens when boys assimilate into the girl's culture? Do they get sex changes or are they just gay?

Q2: How do girls alone increase the population :crazyeye: ?

EDIT 2: That some civ addict thing got me :)

A1: The girls probably have access to the cursed water From the Spring of the Drowned Girl, which changes anyone bathed in it into a girl... :p

A2: Probably the same way that the Viera (an all female race of bunny girls) in FF Tactics Advance and FF XII multiply... Probably better off not asking. :groucho:

Well, hot water (temporarily) reverses the curse, but..... Cold water changes you back into the cursed form. (unless of course you also get hit with a splash of water from "The Ladle of Preservation" which locks one into one's cursed form).

As for what I'd do if I befell such a predicament.... Well for one thing, I'd walk into the CIA building with a bucket of cold water, go up to their personnel department, say, "Look what I can do," splash myself with the wather and then say, "Gimme a job!" (with the ability to not only change ones appearance, but actual gender at will would be a formidable asset for a spy).

Eh? Load it in the scenarios folder. (Conquests is for the 9 conquests scenarios, such as Mesopotamia, WWII Pacific, Sengoku, etc.)

When boys assimilate into the girl's culture, imagine that as they die off/get bored of serving them, and they are "replaced" by someone else. No sex change. ;)

They recruit people. In this game, there are people unaffiliated with any faction just milling around, and when enough "food" is gained, that is like recruit points towards recruiting another person. If not enough are, some get bored and leave. We call it starving. (maybe we should change it to boredom)

you should rename food "fun". And if there isn't enough "fun", some of the ppl get bored and leave.

EDIT: And like you said, instead of the message saying "Starvation in X" make it say "Boredom in X"

EDIT 2: It doesen't even read it if I put it in the scenarios folder.

Yeah, but then it's going to have to rework other stuff, (such as school food providing -fun) and that would change everything.

Ok, are you unzipping everything into the:
C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive\Civilization III\Conquests\Scenarios
Folder? (or wherever you installed Civ III Conquests)

Then you go to the main menu, and then go to the "Civ Content" button. Then you should be able to find it there.

Do I need to download 1.0 too to play it or 1.1 is fine???
If I have to download 1.0 can you post a different link because the one on the first page doesn't work for me(I mean I goes me to a page but then I can't find the file.

Yes, you need to download 1.0. The 1.1 link is just a patch.

And I fixed the link. I hate it when they switch things up without any redirect links or anything.

Here for convienence.
