I had a game with 24 civs. I managed to get the patriarch of the Runes of Kilmorph. I had a bunch of civs at war with me, so I figured, why not, eh?

And here is what the diplo screen looked like:

lol! It must have been absolute chaos! I've never really played such a big game, doesn't it lag ridiculously long between turns. Especially with all civs now at war with each other...

No, not too much. Besides, when my games start to lag, I take that as an excuse to start reading a book again ;)

Still, the Ilians were peaceful. Who says they're evil after all? ;)
Heh, I didn't notice that. The benefits of being non-religious, I suppose.

That be pretty mighty mess...

Blow up da whole place!

Holy war is truly a great way to get religious victory if you have both the partiarch and the holy city... or then absolute defeat.

I started with 23 other random civs. I had two Faeryls and two Varn's (and boy! was it annoying having two of those guys - they even annoyed each other).

The two Faeryls happened to start close to each other, so they would up having similar religions. When one almost got wiped out by the Doviello, the vassalage took place.

With the understanding that I haven't specifically focused on this aspect, I'd have to say that, yes, there does seem to be some odd vassalages occurring from time to time.

I went down the list and vassalized about 10 civs on one turn in a game I played recently. If it were BTS, they wouldn't have all agreed like that. The next turn I got like 2 more. I think perhaps the AI does in fact give in a little too easily, however I had the largest army, so that could have been a factor. Still, it seems easier to get vassals in FFH as opposed to BTS. Even the ones who hated me joined up.

Perhaps related to this, I had the Hippus asking for a permanent alliance with me when their attitude toward me was Cautious. I assumed it was their mercenary nature (I was the most powerful nation at the time).
