The Princedom of Vanir

Better not give him any of the 'gifts'...if you know what i mean :D

to the mission: the the pilgrimage thread for news about the missing missionaires

a question: since when were they missed?

Written by Brother Joseph...

It is difficult to say when my Brother Adam and Sister Eve dissapeared. It has been at least 20 days since they left the Marillion, they could have been taken any time since then and 4 days ago, when the message demanding the halting of military action arrived.

A lord of a great house has many responsibilities. One of the happiest of these is rewarding just and faithful service of the knights and lords who support him. jdd2007, naervod, Donovan Zoi, gunning1, gonzo_for_civ and Padma have all added to the greatness of House Vanir and it is my very great pleasure to be in a position to help them increase the stature of their own Houses.

To jdd2007 I award certain lands near the city of Palanthus and invest him as Duke of the Palantire.

To naervod I award the city of New Falcon's Nest and certain adjoining lands and invest him as Count of Falkonest. In addition his home shall be made worthy of his title.

To Donovan Zoi I award the great city of Tlaxcala and invest him as Prince of Klein Vanir and heir to Vanir Minor. In addition his home shall be made worthy of his title.

To gunning1 I award the city of Gunningheim and certain adjoining lands and invest him as Count of Eis Mauer.

To gonzo_for_civ I award the city of Huntington and certain adjoining lands and invest him as Baron of Süd-Besitz. In addition his home shall be made worthy of his title.

To Padma I award certain lands to the south and east of Lancre and invest him as Margrave of Brückenkopf.

Thus are the faithful of Vanir rewarded for their valiant service and Vanir itself strengthened by their increase in stature. Rule well, Lords of Vanir!

Yes, I am willing to put Vanir above my other commitments :).
We are concerned over your actions during the recent Utopia/Cincinnatia conflict. You took stewardship of Utopian lands in an apparent effort to withhold them from Vanir in the event of open conflict. This view was strengthened by their immediate return to Utopia upon the release of military tension between Vanir and Utopia.

Our view is that this was an effort to reduce the scale of the conflict and protect the lives of the indigents of those lands. This view is not universal however and we must pay heed to our advisors, some of whom view the act as a slight on Vanir.

We will accept you as a full Knight of Vanir, and gladly, but require a token of your commitment to our great land. To be welcomed to Vanir's service you must forswear your previous vows of knightly service.

Ok, *Grand Admiral CivGeneral thinks to himself that becomming a Royal or Noble of Vanir will be harder to acheave due to the conflict between Vanir and Utopia :( Well here goes nothing, I shall Forswear my previous vows of knightly service.

Shaitan, When can I gain the trust of the Vanir Advisors to become a Noble or a Royal of Vanir.

Woohoo...thanks big man! :)

@gunning....welcome....you'll like being a knight of Vanir..it works out quite nicely :)

Yes i mean CG :)

I was reading what you received from shaitan when I wrote that :)

@Padma, gunning1, & gonzo - You're all very welcome :D

@CivGeneral - I am happy to welcome you into the service of Vanir. Your investiture as knight will come after the availability is complete this week.

@SAAM - A Vanir Knighthood isn't based on land. It's based on service, common goals and community and is sanctified by a ceremony and the test of the blade. If you are interested in becoming a Knight of Vanir let me know.

"I encourage all lords, knights and knights...."

Knights and Knights eh? ;)

Perhaps that shuld read knights and squires?

Anyways I'm signed up for everything :)

"knights" and "knights penitent" :p

Knights penitent are people who have completed an equerry (squirehood) but are not yet Knights of Vanir. CivGeneral and SAAM are our knights penitent.

Ohh shut up..I stopped reading after knights and knights :p

:D

Errr..I mean thanks for the land man :)

A note to our honored knights penitent, CivGeneral and SAAM. I apologize for the delay in knighting you but the recent activity in Riga has kiboshed our planned ceremony. Rest assured, we will perform the rites as soon as possible.
