I won't be getting one, but then again i'm not much of a console gamer. If i am going to buy a console, it'll be a dreamcast in order to finally play Soul Calibur.

steviejay said:heh, the Ps3 is too expensive but you're waiting to get a Wii on ebay, a place where people put consoles just released on for crazy ass prices? or do you mean waiting a few months until it goes down in price and get one second hand?
PrinceScamp said:Hmm, once the PS3 is released the PS2s are going to be really cheap, and there are tonnes of good games for them!
I'm sticking to PC though.
But I love how Nintendo does backwards compatibility with the Gameboys! And that's another bonus for the Wii for sure.
They're emulated. Every so often, Microsoft makes more original games work on the 360, and some are updated to work better.Luckymoose said:One thing that bothers me is. Xbox 360 sucks at backwards compatibilty except for Halo games. Tons of the games won't work on it. Or they work but they lag. Which makes no since.

It's also only for the Japanese market so far. When I saw the headline on my own earlier today, I actually reconsidered my position about buying a PS3 when it is first released. But unless the price does not drop, I'm sticking with buying a Wii this year and waiting for the final verdict on the PS3 vs. 360 slugfest.steviejay said:Linky Linky
Sony to Cut Price of PS3
It's a price cut of the low end system only, the 60 gig version remains untouched, and the price is still hefty more than anything else on the market
I'll assume they'll do the same for all markets, so that's good news for those committed to buying a PS3. Still doesn't change my plans, though. I'll just wait to see how the PS3/360 rivalry turns out before committing to a second console.steviejay said:It's a price cut of the low end system only, the 60 gig version remains untouched, and the price is still hefty more than anything else on the market
The solution for no backwards compatibility:Luckymoose said:Except you have to pay for all your games again.
