I won't be getting one, but then again i'm not much of a console gamer. If i am going to buy a console, it'll be a dreamcast in order to finally play Soul Calibur.;)

I already have a 360, and I'll probably get a Wii, but I don't think I'll ever get a PS3 (even though it will probably outsell everything ever made combined).

heh, the Ps3 is too expensive but you're waiting to get a Wii on ebay, a place where people put consoles just released on for crazy ass prices? or do you mean waiting a few months until it goes down in price and get one second hand?

Waiting a few months for the price to go down.

Hmm, once the PS3 is released the PS2s are going to be really cheap, and there are tonnes of good games for them!

I'm sticking to PC though.

But I love how Nintendo does backwards compatibility with the Gameboys! And that's another bonus for the Wii for sure.

Except you have to pay for all your games again.

One thing that bothers me is. Xbox 360 sucks at backwards compatibilty except for Halo games. Tons of the games won't work on it. Or they work but they lag. Which makes no since.

Ps3 is brillant IMO. As DVD will be going away in the coming years as already the limits of that format have been reached. DVD's can hold like 8-9 GB's. Companies are releasing 20 GB movies and 30 GB games as first gen blu ray!

Also free online equal to xbox live. Or close to it. 60 GB hard drive. LINUX OS pre installed. It's all genius to me. Web Browser. It is everything the 360 is not. Which is good.

They're emulated. Every so often, Microsoft makes more original games work on the 360, and some are updated to work better.

And Skies of Arcadia, Shenmue, Virtua Tennis, ChuChu Rocket, MSR... ;)

Ah, such memories.

I'm not buying PS3.

My console gaming days are over. I'll be sticking to PC's for all my gaming needs.

Sony to Cut Price of PS3

It's a price cut of the low end system only, the 60 gig version remains untouched, and the price is still hefty more than anything else on the market

It's also only for the Japanese market so far. When I saw the headline on my own earlier today, I actually reconsidered my position about buying a PS3 when it is first released. But unless the price does not drop, I'm sticking with buying a Wii this year and waiting for the final verdict on the PS3 vs. 360 slugfest.

I'll assume they'll do the same for all markets, so that's good news for those committed to buying a PS3. Still doesn't change my plans, though. I'll just wait to see how the PS3/360 rivalry turns out before committing to a second console.

The solution for no backwards compatibility:
Don't sell your old system! Unless you're really running out of space or switch between consoles very frequently, compatibility is a good example of the old proverbial "non-issue."

I have a Dreamcast, but my games don't work for it. They got damaged.

Download them! You bought the original disc's so you have the right to download them again. You might wanna grab some of the megadrive and snes emulators for the DC.

Now europe is getting them later, I wanna know how nuts people go with the imports. When the n64 came out in america first for $200, people were buying them for £400 in england (with full knowlege that no english games would be compatible, when they were finally released).

If the ps3 gets the same treatment, people are going to buy them for over £1000!!!!!

Actually I heard they got a price cut for the PS3 making it 4,000 yen in Japan and 400 bucks in USA...
______
OO wait you guys already know that..oops! but anyways I got alot of Money from the Stock Market.... If only people could become Lucky like me :( Which is why im a Commie... OO yeah Topic... I could buy all three right now... (Wii, PS3, Xbox 360) but the reason Why I wont buy em is this:
Xbox360: I heard after a few months of playing Xbox360 the engine overheats after like 30 minutes and the Game freezes up...
Wii: The Game controller is a friggin' REMOTE!
PS3: Its not out yet... durr!
