So, I guess I was watching survivorman or something too much lately since I was at the store the other day and saw coconuts and felt the need to buy one. Now, what do I do with it? How are you supposed to eat the thing? Can you do something with it like cooking wise?

Drill a hole, pour the juice into your selection of spices and make a superb curry sauce. Scrape out the meat and eat it, but you'll probably have enough to put into a cake of some sort. Don't let it dry out.

The milk is good. You can eat the "meat" by itself but that offers only minimal flavor. I guess if you have a machete you can split it open, otherwise I dunno how one goes about opening them.

I highly reccommend only having fresh coconut (excluding the shredded kind).

Running it over with a lawn mower is another option, not the non motorized one variety though.

Machetes are good, but you can buy specialised drills that are used for coconuts, watermelons and other large fruit.

Yeah, if you're comfortable with butcher knives, crack it at the top with a few well-placed strikes. I've actually gotten pretty good at this. I recommend using tongs to distance your hand until you get better though. Then drink and eat.

What's the drinking age in Switzerland in whatever canton Geneva is in?
16 for beer/wine
18 for spirits

and the canton Geneva is in is Geneva ;)

Oh yeah! Do 17-yos get in nightclubs generally?
nope, most nightclubs are 18+. it's too much hassle for the clubs to decide who's 16-18 and who's >18 when selling drinks, so they usually restrict access to 18yo's. there's some clubs (dunno about Geneva, though) where people older than 18 get a wrist-band to identify those that can get liquor, so they can let 16/17yos in.

but if there is an age restriction imposed by a club to get rid of the kids it usually is 18, meaning "looks old enough" for girls and "actually is 18" for boys.
 you nailed it. also short skirts and/or cleavage seem to subtract at least 1 year from the required age, but I don't know if it works for boys as well ;)

yes. and it's so bad i edited it out again.
indeed it is horrible: "Drink responsibly and there will not be a problem when you indulge in the nightlife switzerland is becoming known for." Switzerland known for its nightlife? right, like englans is known for it's cuisine :ack:

"You will probably even find a number of residents speaking French" - no, really?

It's running smoothly on my end. Wikipedia probably hates you. You personally.

No. But it can be a little tricky. Do you have a second pc to log in with for questions if you run into trouble while you are at it?

Yes. Doing so now. :D

I have possibly the tiniest screw in the world to unscrew and it should come out easily. Problem: looking at the actual article I can the see the card what is going in is quite a lot larger than the one coming out. Is this a problem? I think they are the same height, it's the sideways length what is worrying. I am installing a Geforce 8800GT into a computer what came with a 6600GT, if that helps.

If it fits in, it's not gonna be a problem.

I have a feeling it is going to be a problem. :ack:

Question: Why can I hear people who phone me on my iPhone, but they cannot hear me speak back? Have I accidently pressed something what shouldn't have been pressed?

I don't know much about computers, but maybe there are other slots you can put a card in? Your computer may be equipped to handle two monitors.

Alternatively, just put it in and see what happens.

What matters is if they both use the same slot. If they have the same connection, they'll both fit.
