Question: What does this mean? Its from an interview

"High school was great for me. I went to all five of them in Gainesville and did whatever I wanted. I moved out on my parents and was living with the guitar player in my band."

How'd he get away with that?

"My parents were getting divorced and I played them off against each other."

Nobody I asked could figure out what it meant.

P.S. The interview is not with T.P. ;) Once everyones throughly confused Ill explain it

Whomever it was, heartlessly abusing your parents at a vulnerable time is hardly a topic of easy discussion, Aimee.

It means whoever this is would do stuff like ask one parent for a bike, then when they refused say something like "but dad said he'd get me one." The mother would then get them a bike in order to not be seen as the "bad parent" by the child. Happens all the time in broken families. Hell, I'm pretty sure I would have done it, and my family isn't broken.

EDIT: Ha, beat you Cutlass! :p

It means he worked to get what he wanted by asking one parent for it and hinting that the other would give it to him. And if that didn't work, he'd try the same thing with the other parent.

That makes sense and I can just see the guy doing that

(P.S. It was one of the Heartbreakers. I said it wasn't T.P. ;) )

An octave is 12 (half)notes above, a semitone is 1 (half note).

music jargon makes as much sense as a foreign language (that you haven't learned)

That's because music is a foreign language. If it hadn't been for those pesky Americans during the Second World War, we'd all be speaking Music!

Does somebody have a fairly large European map from about 1982? I dont need cities, just country borders. Thanks :) (Mostly west Germany, I dont need the eastern Europe)

Thanks. I'll just remove the colors too

OK, I decolored it. Does it look ok? (I notice the borders turned out a little messy.)
