The Real World NES

There aren't enough to go around.

I really do not like the Soviets anyway. Command economy is not all that great and I tend to favor free market when playing in Modern NESes.

For that matter, I do not find Lenin to be particularly evil, especially when compared to his successors.

Define evil. ;) If you mean "bodycount", then Stalin wins, but the bodycount definition of evil always struck me as rather senseless. If you mean willingness to go against all morality - both the old and the new - in other words, pragmaticism taken to the extreme, then Lenin is your man (observe how he easily swung between opposite fringes of early Soviet politics; at first we have state capitalism, then war communism, then the NEP...), although Stalin is probably on par as well.

Actually, Farow, if you favour the Free Market, that makes you Bukharin or Malenkov (or Beria! :p ). Soviet Premiers are too few, but if we take Soviet politicians (and generals) something could be made out of this concept.

I take back me being eveyrone. Symph is right, i'm more like when the KGB ruled the Soviets, because i came............and I went....

You will have to contend for that position with Kentharu - the words "i quit xcl xcl" have already gained wide notoriety. ;)

btw, what does XCL XCL mean?

Ten Character Limit. A particularly silly idea of the forum designers that we forumites have petitioned for the removal of many times.

It wasn't inherently silly, but as soon as people realized the powers of such magic words as "tenchar" and "xcl xcl" things got even worse than before.

It was. It doesn't do anything to limit the brevity of replies.

Instead of "No," one now has to put, "No, it isn't."

If that was the way it really was, it would have had the beneficient side-effect of people learning to form proper sentances, an ability sorely lacking in some. ;) Alas, most simply write "no tenchar"...

Anyway, this is getting off-topic, so go write the list of NESers as US Presidents. ;)

Actually, I was drawing up a preliminary list, and you reminded me most of Polk. I don't have anyone for TR yet...

What I'd really like to write myself is "NESers as French Revolution politicians" (as opposed to just revolutionaries because I already found a reactionary who is very similar to SwissEmpire). Not sure if I should put Panda down as Napoleon or Danton, though (the former is rather obvious, but the latter works as well and is fairly similar to Theodore Roosevelt)...

I wanna be McKinley!

How suicidal... Actually, basing on those times when you DID have an actual great power under your control, you could make a pretty convincing George Bush the Younger. ;)

Is both Flattered and Insulted:p

Not a terribly surprising reaction... I wonder who should feel the most insulted by this comparison - you or Bush? :p

I think you'd like the fellow I picked for you for the French Revolutionaries...

My thoughts exactly; although you and Panda are very obvious candidates, if only because of those avatars (thanks for changing yours, btw, its nice to have such reassurances of one's mind control powers ;) ).
