For the record, I believe that putting AoE3 in that group is rather misleading. While it certainly wasn't the masterpiece previous games were, it wasn't a "bad" game by any definition of the word. Basically, a 8-8.5 where previous ones were 9+ easily.

AoE3 was AWFUL! The most derpy campaign with a stupid storyline, whereas the other games had wonderful, historically accurate games. Random stupid stuff was changed, like a limit on watch towers (WTH?). And there was a press to win button, the stuff coming from your home country is WAY overpowered.

Anyway, looking forward to NinjaCow's list.
