[BTS] The (sigh) emperor warm-up exercise

In any case Long Try has gone silent for almost a week now.
Wow, all quiet on the S&T front and all of a sudden it burst into life with a barrage of comments in 1 day :)
I did like your first dot map a lot more.
Thanks for the analysis. Maybe I was too concerned by the enemy's settlement pattern & reacted against my better judgement before.
Your style of play here is not getting too much response.
I admit that it seems to be the truth. I intend to play this game in the same style as the real stuff's - that is, based on plentiful advice from pro players and on democratic decision polls. It didn't gain traction, as a few has pointed out, because I deviate from the 'normal' setup of pangaea standard no events etc... too much. People don't want to get their feet in unfamiliar waters.
For a community-based project, I deem it as a primary failure. Therefore I decided to call off this warm-up of an exercise. Another small but annoying part of the reason is about K-mod's inability to get workers stop chopping 1 turn before felling. Thank you for all of you guys' input, especially Wrathful, ArchGhost, Olafeson & Gumbolt. If you have advice on how to run a successful community project, I'd be happy to hear.

I think the game has merit. The issue has been difficulty advising as people can't see the saves and are guessing.

The advice seems to be stick to hill cities and be prepared for AI rushes.

yeah, if always war, the archer rush will be very early.

Not suggesting first game would be always war. As ever those games would be set at a lower level to even playing field. Just an idea for now.

Least K mod would provide something different. Reduce need to find quirky starts to provide players challenges.

   always war would be challenging unless you're iso

Pends what level you play always war. On immortal likely suicide. On other levels maybe not.

What is latest version of K mod?

Haven't played it recently so unsure.
First time I tried AW on emp I was caught unprepared. ;) Slightly easier the second try.

I was more thinking forum game. Would have to have a standard version of k mod. Would be a nice twist to the usual Noble club series. One off could at least be interesting. I would like to see an experimental always war game. Maybe getting ahead of myself.
I had a really interesting k-mod game some time ago where I started on small rocky peninsula with a 1 tile wide passage to the mainland, and being block by Bismark. Victory was possible if I rushed BW and chopped an army of axes. I'll have to find that initial save file, I usually save them. Always wanted to share that game.
What is latest version of K mod?
1.46. That patch fixed the drunk city governors.
