The Sound of Drums - A British Hearts of Iron II AAR

we control the mid east oil fields, we control the burmese oil fields oil shouldnt be a problem I believe :p

oh, and never underestimate the power of massed artillery in set piece battles :D

Arabia actually doesn't have that much oil in game, I don't think their big supplies were discovered yet?

Better to take Persia now rather than allow those pesky commies to get their red fingers on them.

It's actually just one Persian province, luckily on the border. =)

Because we quite clearly miss the days of Imperialism

However, those troops that would be used to invade some random oil producing nation could instead be sent to India if they're so badly in need of a job

agreed Sir!

Why I remember the glory days of Umboto Gorge where we bravely fought off the Peace loving Pygmies armed with their vicious sharpened mangoes, ahhh, those were the days!

My god, you were there too? It was a viciously sharp slice of mango, wasn't it?

Rather old boy, a close run thing all in all. Still, it was all worth it when a couple of favours were paid orf in The Great War.

Now now this is exactly what Germany did and why we are at war with them, albeit not so much over oil directly. Japan is also invading it's neighbours for resources. Do you really want to set a such a bad example for certain yonuger natinos *cough*america*cough*?

How threatening are Japan at the moment? Are there troops massed on our borders or are their fleets harassing our own?

right now Japan is bogged down in mainland china in a war of attrition without end.
Regrading us, well, they are not on good terms with us and I would say they would take advantage of our preoccupations in Europe when the time is right...
