King Gudea- Can't wait to get there. The animal trainers are giving me the honor of releasing the lion's myself.
The roar of the crowd is deafening as they voice their approval of the executions. One by one the traitors are dragged to the ground by the hungry lion's. With having no weapons to defend themselves, the affair is over with quickly. Naram and his followers are no more.

Domestic Advisor- A massive cathedral has been completed in Egypt and it's beauty is without parallel in this world. It boasts a giant mural across the ceiling that took four years to complete.
King Gudea- She deserves something like that! Her own beauty is without parallel and...uhhh...oops was I talking out loud?

Domestic Advisor- Sir, the enthusiasm and excitement of conquering our enemies has died down; the Sumerian population is back to being just content with their situation. This is also reflected in the fact that production & commerce have gone down across the empire.
King Gudea- That level of fervor and zeal could not last forever. But, those who experianced this special age of Sumeria, will remember it the rest of their lives.

King Gudea- I want you to begin hiring all the mercenaries that are available and have them gather north of Bad-tibira.
Military Advisor- Mercenaries? Our forces are more than holding their own. Do we really nee-
King Gudea- Just do it! There will soon be a special task for them to perform.
Military Advisor- It will be done, my King.

King Gudea- It sounds like this substance has great potential. Unfortunately your funding is going to be temporarily cut off. So you and your colleagues can take your time and get it right. For the time being, most gold will be used to pay overtime to our citizens, so that city production in outlying areas will be finished quickly. Also, we will be hiring many mercenaries and they don't come cheap.
Science Advisor- We will bring you updates from time to time on our self-research.

Military Advisor- Roman forces are beginning to show up in force, at our borders. We are holding them off, but their numbers are increasing rapidly. Are you going to use the mercenaries that are being hired?
King Gudea- No, hold the mercenaries back for the time being. We have drawn the Romans in close enough. It is finally time to contact Hannibal.
Military Advisor- Has that been your plan all along, to lure all the Romans into the midst of the Carthaginian cities? Then make an alliance with Hannibal?
King Gudea- Yes, it was. There will be chaos with the two armies in a mass melee, and soon we will toss the mercenaries into the mix. This should be very entertaining!

Foreign Advisor- Great One, our offer of an alliance has been accepted by Hannibal. He did not demand as much as before, for some reason. Maybe he was distracted by all the Roman legions in his land.
King Gudea- Yes, Hannibal definately has his hands full. I would pay handsomely to have a front-row seat at this engagement!

Military Advisor- Master, we have hired 57 mercenary groups. Shall we continue to do this?
King Gudea- Yes, hire every mercenary you can find.

Military Advisor- Sir, our forces were moving in to attack the Hittite city of Kummani when Egypt beat us to it. A lone Hittite longbowman escaped from the city before it was captured. A knight was sent in to finish off this longbowman and witnessed this.
King Gudea- Cleopatra has a few armies of her own, eh? Keep an eye on them and inform me if they attempt to enter our lands.
