Woah, on the first turn, really?

Will he go after US now? :crazyeye:

Colombian Armed forces engaged in heavy fighting this turn. Our valorous soldiers eliminated 5 Guerrilla/Drug Cartel Terrorist units in Jungles, for no losses!

Looks like their Kenyan colleagues scored unreported remarkable victory in Somali :goodjob: The Horn of Africa was freed from Islamist. Will the East African nation be able to avert the famine that is looming above the Mogadishu once the city emerge from resistance?

UN elections this turn. Only 2 candidates to choose from! Please chose wisely, we don't want to see no Secretary General for the next 9 turns! Especially now, when world's peace was shattered on the turn one and Nuclear Weapons were used by paranoid North Korean leader

Oh, the Somali? They were just so excited to hear about our new picture in production that they just jumped at the opportunity to become part of our nation. We accepted them with open arms, of course. :-)

In more recent developments, as a show of good faith towards our new arrangement, India has gifted us access to their sugar fields. And we are disturbed to hear of nuclear war breaking out to the east. Our prayers are with the poor South Korean souls that have been affected by this horrible circumstance and we hope that the upcoming UN Secretary General will handle the situation appropriately.

I have had a chance to check my settings, but now have/

Why am I a vassal for 4 nations? I should only be a vassal of the EU not all 4 European nations.

Seems incorrect!!!

I know, but EU countries are represented by permanent alliance of 4 countries from Europe. I really feel your pain, but this is the current reality in real life. Germany and France are founding EU members. Of course, nobody has vassals now in the old meaning of the world, but many Western and Central Sub-Saharan still depend on their former colonial masters. Congo used to be Belgian, Cameroon was German, then divided between Britain and France, Angola was Portuguese, Central African Republic (represented by your city Bangui) was French and so on... I am fully aware how those greedy Europeans abusing your developing nations. England took your Diamonds (Gems), French demanded your only Oil, Germans went after your Uranium. Life is tough for you in this department. But every one of Underdogs have their pluses and minuses. If you refuse demands you can get free and boost your score -- very unlikely prospect for Colombia, for example, who's Brazil keeps giving us resources not demanding, even though we would love to break free. Life is tough for all of us but in different ways!

Yes but I get demands from 4 nations not one.

3 to be exact :) EU gives you something, 3 others take. Decline those bastards! Down from foreign domination! :mischief:

I think I might cancel my deals with them later then.

I voted for my master Barack Obama this turn, and in response he demanded spices from me lol. But I did get a good price on some resources from him last turn. Otherwise I can't do anything - I'll be lucky to get 1 new tech before the game is over. If I break free from Obama I'll get nuked to all hell. I've completely shut down all espionage, so everyone is free to look at my patheticness!

Does anyone else have 4 'masters' ? ... I still think it is 'unfair' if they don't.

I thought you are more creative that that

Internet alone can bring you 4-5 techs, and you are lucky owner of Copper! I had to trade hard to obtain one for myself.

As for nuking -- one could cut a deal with friendly human in order to deploy his planes for a small fee in your 2 cities. Neutral unit in nuke range = no nuking allowed! ;)

@kiwitt Nothing is suppose to be fair while playing Underdogs. Is it fair that you have 6 cities while I have 2? Is it fair that Iraq has 2 Oils, Venezuela 3 and I have just 1? But Kenya has none?

Look friend, everything is relative. Every civ has it's weakness and advantages. The key is to think outside of the box. 4 allies might mean 4 oppressors but also 4 protectors. It might mean 4 friendly rich civs that can gift you gold. This also means that you can break free on turn one, unlike us. That will instantly boost your score. Being free you can attack not very smart AI, unlike me right now, and increase your score even further. If you want we can trade our countries, :D

OK ok ... I'll work with it ... a challenge is a challenge it will be then. ;)

Apparently not THAT creative! That is a good point about friendly units preventing nukings... but also the Americans walked by my cities recently, and let's just say that it wouldn't be pretty even with nukes. Iraq has to have the weakest military in this game too, I will need to check the demographics next turn.

And I'll have to see if its even possible for me to build the internet yet, I don't remember seeing it.

It's ok, this is just more of a chance to explore how this updated version works for THE BIG GAME later on. I am perfectly happy with a nice builder game and experimentation for now.

THE BIG GAME later on.

are you talking about this one?

1. Play the World

There are 36 civs in Earth2010 -- how about we start grand Domination game with ALL the civs controlled by human intellect -- just like it is in real life Seven players controlling 5 civs each (Muslims 6):

Chinese Block: China, N. Korea, Thailand, Zaire, Kenya
Russian Block: Russia, Kazakhstan, Venezuela, Iran, Turkey
United Nation Block: India, Others, Australia, S. Africa, Japan
NATO Block: EU, Germany, UK, France, Canada
Latino Block: Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Columbia, Mexico
