Try the "search" button between calendar and quick links in the upper taskbar. Everything should get clear when you get there. have fun!

Under the link to your private messages, there's a button that says 'Search'. Search for your own name, and find posts, not threads, and - this is the most important bit - do it in ascending order. The first result is your first post.

i remember playing "Marla singer's world map" on civ 3, (even civ2?) and then the first few times i came to OT and saw you posting I was like OMG I can't believe I just talked to THE Marla singer
For me at that time it sounded as big as Bill Gates or Sid Meyer

I did the same thing.

My early days of CFC-ship were spent arguing in the Civ 3 forums about historical crap in people's threads. When Padma came along and kept telling me to go to Off-Topic or World History, I thought he was being a sarcastic ass. Then one of the other posters (I think it was Persianboy) linked me to OT, which I didn't know existed, and the rest is history.

Do your search in Ascending Order instead of decending. The first post to show up will be your first post.
