Which Civ V World Wonders would be the most conducive for a vacation photo with both the wonder and the wonder screen in it? In other words, which ones have convenient and close tables and power outlets to place and connect the laptop to?

There's still loading times, and of course the turn time to finish the wonder. Not to mention the positioning and everything. I'd rather make sure there's enough time for me to do all that.

I would just like to throw out there the option to do this with the Civ II wonder movies instead of Civ V. Civ II movies were the best of the entire franchise.

Yes, it's fine.

Modern OS doesn't have an explicit hibernation mode (or explicit off mode)- it has sleep mode, where basically everything other than RAM is powered down, and hybrid (hybrid of hibernation mode) shutdown, where stuff in RAM is saved to disk when you shut down.

Of the ones I visited (yeah, showing off here )
Big Ben, probably possible to find a Starbucks near to start up the laptop. Will have rain in your picture.
Brandenburg Gate: Good places to make a photo, can bring laptop.
Eiffel Tower: The Esplanade du Tracdero is the place to take the picture.
Forbidden Palace: Probably possible, might get annoyed looks from PLA soldiers though. I wouldn't advise it. Don't bet on finding free electricity near.
Great Wall: Sure, but electricity poor and far away from the cities, have to bring the laptop.
the Louvre: Possible, don't expect plugs. Keep your laptop close or it'll get stolen (this also applies to the Eiffel Tower).
Notre Dame: Not a lot of room for a nice picture IIRC. Will be hard to get the thing recognizable.
Statue of Liberty has big security checks before you get on the boat, I'm not sure if you can bring a laptop, certainly not onto the building.

The area outside the statue should be fine for a picture. If I really can't bring a laptop to the island, guess I'll have to see if I can get a good view from New Jersey then.
