The Walking Dead: AMC-channel series Anyone psyched?

Eh I stopped watching half-way through this season. Does it get better? Is this worth finish?
I've kept watching it because I don't like to quit half way... but no, it is probably not worth it.

Well I finished it, you're right it doesn't really get better. I was gratified to see Andrea die though.

I like the show and am glad i watched it. Better than at least 95% of the shows on TV. At least this show is willing to kill off major characters so you don't know what's going to happen.

I agree. The fact that it is rather gutsy, and while it used the standard dramatic devices, it does keep your interest. Just because characters did things we disagree with does not mean it's not good TV.

yeah, but is watching a series that is better than 95% percent of television really worth it for me?
i'm not really sure, but tend to say no.

I think Walking Dead is at the bottom of the list of watchable shows. Game of Thrones, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The Americans etc....

you can't compare game of thrones; they have naked boobies.

You could take every last bit of nudity out of GoT and it would still be miles ahead and above of TWD. Actually, removing some of the nudity there might help.

I think my major gripe with season three was that:
1) everything revolved around the Governor;
2) the Governor was neither convincing nor engaging.

With a competently scripted villain the show would have been a lot better.

Game of Thrones is an awesome show. Not enough nudity but would be great without any.

Any apocolyptic show gets an automatic +1 (of 5 stars) in my opinion.

The whole concept of people saying "I would write it different" doesn't play well with me. It's not an easy job and there are several competing issues. If it was easy and obvious then everyone would be producing a great show. I am a landlord an I hear people telling me it's easy money... I always say "yea it's easy money so why don't you do it and have some of the good life like me?"

I enjoy the show. Glad it's part of my life.

QFT.
Challenge in screenwriting adaptation in to keep it interesting without going too far off the source material. I actuallly teared up during the next-to-last episode, Both of the last two were really good TV.

I was a building super for 9 years, and I still get pulled into it and yes, property management is not an easy job. God bless you.

Even at its worst it's still much better than the crap on NBC, ABC, etc. I heard about the Following and got a few episodes cause it sounded interesting, what a load of crap that was. The most implausible action.

It's funny in the sense that both stories employ very heavily-used tropes and themes, I suppose.

I finally got caught up with the last two episodes that have been sitting on my DVR. I cannot even begin to express how pissed I am.

Spoiler :
I get it, I get it. It's Walking Dead. Someone big has to die. But why her?! I think the only characters who would have ticked me off more would be either Glenn, Carol, or Tyreese. Well honestly, probably just Carol as my affection for Tyreese's character is a fairly new thing so it's not really that -deep- yet, and if Glenn goes, that means Maggie is available...
