OK here's what's on my to do list. I'm working on about 6 different units right now, so obviously it'll take me a little bit longer to get them all out. But as I'm now more familiar with the whole process, it won't take nearly as much time as the Asha'man did. I'm also hoping to release them all about the same time... mainly because most of them are a pack of units for the same civ (I know I'm being vague here, but if you look at the unit list, you'll figure it out). :mischief:

One of the units I will give specifics on for now is a blademaster unit for the Seanchan. I'm killing two birds with one stone here. I'm working on a shaolin monk unit that will easily double as a blademaster figure.

Don't worry, I'll post previews once I get far enough along that way you guys can give me some feedback. You can expect something by the middle of next week. :)

OK, here's a look at the Shaolin Monk unit I've been working on.

Like I mentioned before, I'm doing this unit because I think it could also double as a Seanchan Blademaster. For the Seanchan figure, I'm planning to change the sword, but let me know what other suggestions you have (especially in regards to the color scheme).

Thanks :D

Very nice, wish I had more to give, but I can't remember much about the Blademasters, been too long since I read about the Seanchan.

Very nice. I've been meaning to get to that other thread, but my high speed connection is acting like dial-up so I've been limiting myself to particular threads. Love this unit. When finished I might snatch it for my mod as well.

I requested this bad boy in Kinboat's wonderful lottery/deli line, but sadly I didn't win.

So I've decided to give it a go myself. :) But I want it more to resemble:

since we're already using the Nakamaro Horseman for a mounted Seanchan unit. I've gotten started with the rider (trying to make him almost identicle to the rider above), and this is what I've got so far:

I haven't included weapons yet, or the exotic, but once I figure one out I'll post an updated preview. The reason this is a side/long-term project is because the Aiel will be my #1 priority until I release them. Also I haven't worked on mounted units yet, so I'm sure there'll be some things I'll need to learn/figure out.

Mounted units are tougher I hear. Was hoping you would have these made or make themyourself. I think I'm really going to love your mod. So far so good.

I picked up a package today with enough weapons and clothes to make about 50 different Samurai warriors, so I decided to update what I had so far for the rider. I've attached a Wakizashi and Katana blade to the unit. I'll also work in some spears like in the picture a few posts up, but probably not the flag. Wouldn't want it to look like any of the Cairhienin units. :)

(I could have included different masks, and all other kinds of armor, but at civ scale it would all just blur together)

I say major, because this is what I will be working on foremost until I have them complete. The Aiel are one of the major gaps we have left in the unit lines... well, that is about to be remedied. :) Kinboat once again, has been wonderful enough to provide me with models for the units. All that's left for me now is to animate them... y'know, nothing major.

But here you go, a preview of the Aiel:

The weapons are not included in the preview, but rest assured I will make use of all of them. My plans are to make a whole line of units out of these models. Maidens, Stone Dogs, Red Shields, etc. There will be some that use bows, some that use spears, and other little surprises that I'll throw in there too (don't worry, there'll be no swordplay or mounted units :mischief: ).

Hope you like them. Now it's time for me to get to work.
Later, ;)

I've been putting together a weapon system for the Aiel, and here's what I got.

MaidenLoaded.png

- compact bow
- quiver
- belt knife
- shield
- 3 short spears (1 in hand, 2 attached to shield in pic above)

I'll do some more work with the spears so they're more visable at civ-scale.
-----
EDIT: And I might ditch the belt knife altogether. I don't think it'll show up well, and I'm not sure if I'm going to bother working it into an attack animation or not.
-----

Cool :D Maybe just make the belt 'knife' shorter... at the moment it looks more like a sword.

Yeah, Shorter knife would do. If you're not going to use it though, ditching would simplify things for you.

OK, I think I'll keep the belt knife and shorten it up a bit. Wouldn't want the Maiden to become an outcast for carrying a short sword. :) I don't know if I'll use it in an animation or not, but it's better to have more options to work with than fewer so I'll keep it just in case. I'll also alter the color of the sheath so that it stands out a bit more from the rest of her wardrobe.

I'm also considering making the quiver on her back civ-colored. So far all I've got for civ-color is her belt, and that's not very noticible. Thoughts either way?

The quiver will be good as civ-colored. No need to get too much civ-color. Most wetlanders can't tell the difference from one Aiel to another. :p

Hey guys! Looking good Cam, but we're gonna have to tweak it a bit... First off, no bright colors! These are desert people.... gray, tan, and brown are the only colors to use. And no pointy boots!:p They actually talked about how the boots look. Also, the clothes should move more like cotten instead of wool, since they used alagode, which is like cotton. So maybe a bit less puffyness around the tops of the boots? Maybe make rest of the pants a bit baggier? And the cut of the shirt is somewhat off... LOL! Sorry man, I shouldn't be doing this.;) We'll talk later.:)
