The "why can I not connect to any civ chat room' thread

Seriously. Since I've moved to Arizona, and picked up this laptop, none of the civchats (in java or mirc) work.

My firewall is off. the internet obviously works...but I can't establish a connection to ANY irc channel....it just times out again and again.

SO LETS TROUBLESHOOT. What other things should I check? Lets get this fixed.

I checked that, its not the case. I'm positive the issue is with my computer

On a similar note: I just got added to the AHBL list (I should NOT be on there) and now the server K-Lines me every time I try to connect.

Try going to www.ahbl.org and see if your IP is added to there.
Who knows..it might be.
