The Wonder Thread.

I also highly doubt the arguement that the tech tree is "unfinished", if anything it's just the UI.

I think it's a *very* safe bet that the tech tree is not going to look like what we saw in the leaked version (which is already over six weeks old as of this writing, so almost 4 months before release) - unfinished sounds like an appropriate characterization.

It depends on what section are unfinished, The UI is defeniately unfinished, connections and balance, defeniately.

But the items is what I don't think are unfinished. I think that's all we may be getting. Remember that Civ 5 had huge gaps as well before G&K added things like Composite Bowmen and World War I infantry and what not.

Updated the OP with Great Zimbabwe info. Crunched some numbers. If you build it in a city with say 3 other tiles of wheat/copper/rice/stone/deer/fish/whatever, and you have 4 trade routes, that's 37 extra gold per turn this wonder can give you, before Market/Bank modifiers. That's not even counting the 2 Great Merchant points. And Great Merchants are looking really interesting this time around.

Seems pretty great.

Where did we learn about Great Zimbabwe?

One possibility: When you build the Sistine Chapel receive a free great artist (Michelangelo).
And Michelangelo's artwork would grant the artistic fresco the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, with a single bonus.
Thus, the player would enjoy the artistic magnificence of Michelangelo if he build the Sistine Chapel.

It could be the solution to the Sistine Chapel :p

Well, the point is that the Sistine Chapel will look boring on the map, even if you also have the inside be a Great Work. No point in making a Sistine Chapel wonder at that point, because its just a boring looking tile improvement.

I kan imagine that this wonder will easily build by the player if he has cattle nearby. I don't expect the AI will plan to have a commercial district close to a cattle to build this wonder. It will be merely coincidence for the AI to be able to build this wonder.

I couldn't found a Natural Wonder Thread, so I'll write in here the new one revealed:

Piopiotahi a 3 tiles costal natural wonder that gives +1 culture and + 1 gold to adjacent tiles.

Yeah, but they could do the whole Apostolic Palace with St. Peter's Basilica as a wonder and that would look pretty awesome on the map.

Good point.

Perhaps the Apostolic Palace is being used for the Religious Victory, like in Civ4? So the only way to do the Sistine Chapel is with a Great Work of Religious Art?
