The Wonder Thread.

I have an odd feeling it will be the Medieval/Renaissance version of the Great Library (grants all eureka boosts to Medieval and Reinassance techs)

I definitely guessed ahead of time that Big Ben gave an extra economic policy slot. It's cool how there is a wonder for each of the slots.

"Doubles current treasury" seems like a sick feature if timed right and used in games with strong gold output :D

Thanks. The "doubles current treasury" is also quite interesting. Depending on how much gold you have saved up, this could be quite powerful. And it encourages players to save their gold if they are planning to build Big Ben.

I suspected that as well, after we found wonders for all the other policy types.

So some speculation about the remaining wonders:

The only things we don't have names for are the buildings/wonders unlocked at Opera and Ballet (1 of these) and Natural History (2 of these). Bolshoi Theater as a wonder for Opera and Ballet seems like a very good guess... the icon even looks right.

As for Natural History, it is mentioned on Arioch's site (http://well-of-souls.com/civ/civ6_cities.html#districts) that the Entertainment Complex district houses the Zoo building. I don't know where this information came from. But anyways I don't see Zoo unlocking anywhere else so it seems a really good guess that one of the buildings/wonders unlocked at Natural History is the Zoo.

As for the other, I would guess it is a wonder corresponding to a famous archeological museum. In fact, I would've guessed "British Museum" except that that is already the name England's special ability. Any other guesses?

I second putting Zoo at Natural History. Perhaps the other there is the Smithsonian.

I'm not sure what the one at Opera and Ballet is. The Cultural District seems full of buildings unless it's yet another alternate for museums.

Perhaps it is some famous ballet house.

Bolshoi Theatre is a famous ballet house: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bolshoi_Theatre. Fits perfectly imo.

maybe a "Natural History" museum...that corresponds to Darwin's Voyages/Theory of Evolution?
Smithsonian sounds good.

"Smithsonian" does sound like a nice option for a natural history wonder.

In the civics tree here: http://well-of-souls.com/civ/images/civ6_civics_tree1.jpg, I would guess that the rightmost building under Natural History is the zoo, and the icon in the middle represents the wonder. It's kind of a generic-looking museum building, but I cannot find anything that matches that closely. The American Museum of Natural History in NYC, maybe?

So guesses as for the general effects of the remaining wonders:

Christo Redentor - Certainly this relates to religion in some way.
Maracanã Stadium - Almost certainly provides amenities, like the Stadium building that unlocks at the same time.
Oxford University - Certainly science related. Perhaps it gives "boost" to all Industrial and Modern technologies, like the Great Library.
Broadway - Certainly related to culture/tourism. Probably has spots for great works of music?
Sydney Opera House - Also bet this is related to culture/tourism and that it has a requirement about being built on the coast.

Opera and Ballet Wonder // Bolshoi Theater - I guess this is related to culture and tourism as well.
Natural History Wonder - Since it presumably unlocks at the same time as the Zoo, perhaps this also provides amenities. Or it is related to the archeology mechanic or the national parks mechanic. This is the hardest to guess...

That would mean there would be 30 wonders in total that would break down roughly along the following lines:

Religious
Stonehenge (Ancient)
Mahabodhi Temple (Classical)
Hagia Sophia (Medieval)
Mont St. Michel (Medieval)
Christo Redentor ??? (Modern)

Amenities/Growth
Hanging Gardens (Ancient)
Colosseum (Classical)
Huey Tlatoani (Medieval)
Natural History Wonder ??? (Industrial)
Eiffel Tower (Modern)
Maracanã Stadium ??? (Atomic)

Military
Terracotta Army (Classical)
Alhambra (Medieval)
Venetian Arsenal (Renaissance)

Production/Improvements
Pyramids (Ancient)
Venetian Arsenal (Renaissance)
Ruhr Valley (Industrial)

Scientific
Great Library (Classical)
Oxford University ??? (Industrial)

Economics/Trade
Colossus (Classical)
Great Zimbabwe (Renaissance)
Big Ben (Industrial)

Culture/Tourism
Opera and Ballet Wonder // Bolshoi Theater ??? (Industrial)
Eiffel Tower (Modern) - because I believe appeal relates to tourism as well as growth
Broadway ??? (Modern)
Sydney Opera House ??? (Atomic)

Naval
The Great Lighthouse (Classical)
Colossus (Classical)
Venetian Arsenal (Renaissance)
Sydney Opera House ??? (Industrial)

Terrain-Improvers
Petra (Classical)
Chichen Itza (Medieval)
Huey Teocalli (Medieval)

Other
Oracle (Classical)
Forbidden Palace (Renaissance)
Potala Palace (Renaissance)

(Note that I put some wonders in multiple categories.)

actually to me the right one looks like the museumsinsel in berlin from halfway above. But since there is no natural history museum on that, it is probably wrong.

Damn! I think around 7:42 in this video he hovers over Oxford University *very* briefly but I cannot get the video paused at the right time to screen capture: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYdEKM33XXw

I went frame by frame through this part of the video and didn't see anything. There is one very faint pop-up that *might* be Oxford University, but either way it is too faint to actually read.

If you meant this one, it's Scientific Theory
