The World is Yours: Game's Thread

Also, President Sawyer tells Congress to go screw themselves... there will be no war in her term of office, she still has another 3 years remaining. Tough luck Congress.

Besides she finds it odd that Congress wants war when domestic issues are still being worked out, unemployment is through the roof and is the highest in America since the Great Depression, they should be focusing on providing jobs and getting the economy back up. War does not help this.

(Oh and this is President Sawyer's IC speech to Congress.)

Just to be clear...Russia can't be rebuilding the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics because WE ARE NOT SOCIALIST! We are liberating the oppressed Baltic Russians, that's it! I swear, the next person who says the Russian Federation is the USSR, is going to have tanks driven up their a**!

Second, the bit about the anti-Russians in Estonia...that was supposed to be private (not like it matters any). I also don't see how any aircraft would be able to fly out of Latvian airspace with attack helicopters shooting anything that moves. Besides, the only airport in Latvia that can service a flight going any further than eastern Poland would be Riga, which was being bombarded by said attack helicopters.

Not like in matters anyways...as long as the Russians are fine, I don't give a rat's a** about the old governments

Third, Russia doesn't have a Premier, and hasn't had one since the Soviet Union. We have President Putin and Prime Minister Lelyushenko, with the President being the head of state.</rant>

Hey...wanna save yourselves the trouble and come along peacefully?

I meant that in the geopolitical sense. So far, you have been conquering nations that were a part of the former USSR, and thus it's what you are doing, reviving the former USSR. I never said anything about your turning into a dictatorship from an *ajem* :sarcasm: "democracy".

The plane was leaving from Lithuanian air space, thus avoiding your attack helicopters.

Sorry for the confusion regarding the position of Mr Putin. I'll change that soon.

After what you did to our brothers in Estonia and Latvia, and to us in the past, do you still believe that we'll come along peacefully? The vodka must have gone to your head, Mr Russian Premi... I meant, Mr Russian President.

We are interested in a defensive alliance.

OOC: They lost 1 unit and had 2 units at half strength. That ain't easy.

Dear Congress of the United States...

Currently your economy is lower than the South African Union. After our war-aided reconstruction program, our economy will be twice that of yours...

Currently we have won enough funds to support mining programs in Lesotho.

Currently we have liberated over a million oppressed africans...

Oh, I forgot, I want to sign a trade alliance with your great nation, to stop the bloody diamond exportation of our northern opressed brothers in civil war and start our blood-free diamond mines near lesotho, which from now on will not be used for military unless as a case of national security. This money will be used to reconstruct other ravaged nations, especially in the near future, Zimbabwae.

Don't let the door hit your emissary on the way out. We will not be pushed around by a bunch of godless communists.

We didn't? Oh I did forget about all the tiny cities...

Ohh I think it is just the map, it doesn't have Macau and Hong Kong in it.

Actually, I was wrong. Hong Kong became Chinese, not Macau. Macau consists of the two white pixels on the Chinese coast, while Hong Kong, the larger blob on the Pearl River, suddenly turned red. I know that it was white when I made the map, and pretty sure it was white last turn. In has to have been Milarqui thinking it was a mistake in my part (which I did make a few), when it fact it wasn't.

Well, I didn't take Hong Kong yet... So it ain't my fault.

We are trying to be very clear about the fact that you are allied with a dangerous neighbore of ours, and we cannot find any other reason but your wish to war with us in the future. Cancel the alliance with Pakistan or we will.

You will what? Iraq alone without allies is more powerful then you are. We will not turn our backs on our brothers and neither will they. Iraq, Iran and Pakistan are brother nations and we will fight to the death to protect each other.

I guess I should have been more clear. I didn't add three dots after the or we will.

I meant or we will cancel your alliance with Pakistan.

Iraq is but a pinnate in the eyes of the grand revolution.

Guys, believe me when I say that I wouldn't like to do this, but, let's face it, this NES is practically dead. There is hardly any activity on the thread, and I have to say that I don't look with much interest to writing more updates on this NES, because, to be frank, there are only 2 things that can be done, military expansion or factory construction, and it was getting boring. I'd rather continue with MilarNES II, as that, at least, has a bit more action and more possibilities than just expanding or building factories. It might also be a sign that a GM shouldn't play his/her own NES.

Anyway, I think that The World Is Yours isn't worth to be played any more. I submit my microphone to you guys to know whether you believe the same or not.

This NES was too much like countries gobbling stuff and eventually either the NES dying or no much diplomacy would go around.

Which was why I continuously asked to start in modern times with all military intact and alliances/war intact... so there will always be something to do and it would make an invasion more difficult as they would have had to face pressure from the UN and other alliances.

Did I not approve of this? If you want an actual NES, you need to give people the opportunity to carry out diplomacy. The extent of what was done in this one, was a few NAPs so each country can carve up the world and exert their sphere of influence until it is time for the superpowers to duke it out.

Also, if the modern is created, dibs on Russia.
