The World's most beautiful/ugly language ?

just because a language has many synonyms doesnt make it beautiful in my opinion.

simplicity can be quite beautiful itself.

I have at least a passing acquaintance with most Western languages, and I can't think of any that are always unpleasant to my ears. I do struggle to understand Danish (I have a basic grasp of Swedish).

German often sounds ugly, yes, but I agree that at its best it can be beautiful (Strauss's Four Last Songs, for example).

All the Romance languages are great. In Italian, I particularly like the sing-song Milanese accent, but I struggle a bit with any accent from Rome southwards (although when I went to Sicily in May I understood people very well).

Swedish and Russian are sexy languages.

I never understand how anyone can bear learning English. Too many irregularities.

Portuguese and Italian sound neat. French also. The ugliest may be Arabic and German.

Does anyone know why girls like French? And this isn't an urban legend, it has been proven.

When i was younger i thought that German sounded terrible , i couldn't stand it. Now i like the sound of it on the rare occasions i do listen it or for films but i wonder would i like to hear that sound/accent of the language daily ?

I love my language Greek and i find my accent of Greek to be the most melodic of the language and the best for my ears. However when shouting it does sound a bit too loud for my taste.

English is a language i like to see written but some accents make it hard to understand.

I think girls like French because it gives them a feeling the person who speaks it is advanced or whatever, and in most cases I've seen, its true.

I study Latin, so I can learn any Romance language easily and then become a ' diplomat's translator'. (I love to mess up sentences)

I'm surprised at the number of people who think that Spanish is ugly. I am also utterly perplexed, since when spoken by a true Spaniard (or Chilean, Argentinian, etc.) it's so amazingly smooth.
