The Manchus evidently had a rather easy time destroying the Ming due to outright corruption in the Chinese military, the Spanish would have easily been able to repeat that event.
Well...I'd add that the Chinese palace intrigue got rid of some of their top-flight generals (like the aforementioned Yuan Chonghuan), which helped the Manchu through. But yes, at the bitter end, it was corruption that did them in the most.
