Sorry, but my vote goes to time-travel. I'd go back to Sumer 6,000 years ago, set myself up as a god-king by impressing the natives with some basic science tricks,

It would also have to be a teleportation device, or else you would end up in outer space.

Honestly, I'm way more interested on seeing improvements on existing technologies than any hypothetical future ones.

Faster cheaper computers.
Faster internet.
Better batteries and solar panels.
Electric vehicles

Stuff like that.

Because honestly, as a historyfag, time travel is easily number one on any list I might make.

Actually, there is active research on cloaking devices. You can even buy textbooks on the theory of making things invisible. So contrary to time travel, cloaking devices are theoretically possible.

5. Knowledge uploader.

Lets make studying and schooling obsolete by having a machine that can enter knowledge into our brain. I don't know if this is possible or not but it would require more advances in cyborg technology which to my knowledge is a fledgling field.

This has incredibly contraversial implications for public schools though. Basically the government would decide what the population would know. Very dangerous and easily abusable if possible.

mind-machine interface with my computer. Due to carpal tunnel problems, I do have problem playing some first person perspective games. Moving around using the WASD keys sucks, and same with mmo's using the number keys for abilities. I have carpal tunnel problems in both hands because of this.

So what I want is a way to just think something in my mind, and my character will do what I think. No more using hands to interface with my PC.
