This IS a Conservative C2C MP game Thunderbrd! :p

Okay, started a SP with C2C MP Cnsrv Mod with just CustomDomAdv folder in USF. On 1st turn before doing Anything checked BUG. The settings were different than what I have been using for regular C2C games. So I set the BUG Options and Saved Game. Exit the game. Reload the game (Mod still only has the USF with CDA folder showing) check BUG immediately. Settings again changed. This time I double saved forcing the Overwrite screen click yes. Exit game. Restart a 3rd time (all the while the Mod's USF is still only showing the CDA folder), check BUG and the settings are different again. I have a hunch that the Play Now settings are taking over.

So now I'm going to put in the USF folder I saved and placed in the C2C Cnsrv Game saves folder, and see what happens.

Okay Put in the Saved USF into my version of C2C MP Cnsrv Mod and started a SP game. All settings were correct as wanted for the Pbem game.

Started a new Pbem game. All BUG settings show up as desired. Played turn.

Below is next players turn, need someone to try it. The Folder New_Cultures Must be in the My_Mods(unloaded) folder 1st. Do Not add the saved USF folder found in the C2C MP Cnsrv Game saves folder for this test, leave yours (whomever tests this) to just the CDA folder in the USF as originally set up.

And yes the save is using the original player list so it says " to Willem van Oranje", but anyone But Harrier needs to test this. If this works then we have a foundation to work off of to try to get a set up that Harrier can also use.

That save game file loads perfectly. One thing though. When I loaded it with a default UserSettings folder, the BUG options were wrong again. That is, No Storms and Multiple Religion Spread are off (unchecked) and Sea Tunnels is on (checked). When I put in the UserSettings folder from the SVN, and relaunched the save game, the BUG options were correct. I would thus recommend that all players put the UserSettings folder from the SVN in their mod before loading their own turn.

I'll have to check the Prgsv in a similar way, though I'm less sure which BUG options would be the indicators there. I'll have to check that thread.

Seeing as "New Cultures" is in the (unloaded) folder, Harrier should be able to load this save. Thus we should be able to proceed from here if desired.

I just realized one more thing about that save game. It did not ask for a recalc. Either time. Thus JosEPh did something even more correctly than Thunderbrd did. Exactly what, I have no idea.

I did something right!?? Hallellujah!!! The day is not a total loss after all!

As for Harrier, I think if every thing matches he should be able to play it, even on his XP OS.

But even a simple mistake like I did on one of the 1st tries by just reversing the r and v in Cnsrv part of the Mod's name throws a monkey wrench n the whole thing. And it's so easy to overlook too.

Thanks Spirictum. Unfortunately it's past Harrier's bedtime so this will have to wait till the morning.

The game loads just fine. Well done JosEPh

Great news!

Now the question is: Do we start a new one? Or do we commit what we have so far and continue from there?

I await your answer.

I've seen the Dutch start, but I don't think this is an important information, it's the first turn of the game. But to me any option is good.
My thinking as well even though Magnus has seen it too. But by the time we make contact it will be but a distant memory.

If Harrier has no objection I'd like to go ahead and run with this while it's working.

I can commit the initial turn, then Harrier could commit his and we would be up and running.

EDIT: I have commited the initial turn and adjust Turn list. If Harrier has no objection he can now update the turn list and Tortoise->Add his turn and Tortoise->Delete mine save to him and then Commit. And we would then be on course with Spirictum taking his turn.

Once we make it thru the 1st Rd, then we can start renaming the Save game to a more manageable length (ie Conservative_Game.CivBeyondSwordSave ) and also negating the need to Tortoise->Add and ->Delete. As each turn you would just Replace/overwrite what was in the Cnsrv MP Game saves folder with your rename save game, then Update turn list and Then Commit. I understand that for everyone Except harrier this is "old hat". So that is why I'm posting it for Harrier's benefit.

So what say you Harrier? Shall we proceed with you making a formal commit? The Spirictum would be next.

Okay see my post above your's and make a the necessary moves to commit your save that was generated from your playing the turn. If you need more help just post. I'll be here.

EDIT: If commiting is a problem, then just upload the savegame. Spirictum will take it from there.

Actually just upload your save game for Dom Pedro to the thread here and Spirictum will take it from there.

As for you failed commit, just go back the the main C2C MP svn right click and select SVN Update. Let it do it's thing. We will then proceed and I'll put together a walk thru for committing your Next turn when it comes round. Sound okay?

From your post above about the Lock-Permission Denied, I wonder if T-brd got you set up right? Or the SVN had a hiccup?

I take it that you do have some familiarity with using the SVN by being a team member for the Main Mod. And that you have done a commit before, hopefully?

In any case we will figure it out and Tally Ho! Spirictum is next! :D

SVN update failed:

Command: Update
Error: Working copy 'C:\Program Files\games\C2Cv37' locked.
Error: 'C:\Program Files\games\C2Cv37' is already locked.
Error: Please execute the 'Cleanup' command.

Did a Cleanup.

Tried another commit - it failed.

My SVN Path for these Pbem games thru the C2C MP SVN, C:\(win10 path)\SVN\C2C MP\Save+TurnList\Cnsrv MP Game saves.
(My Main SVN Folders, C2C and C2C MP live in a folder named SVN on my desktop I keep my working folder in a folder in My Documents with the appropriate name. From this working folder I make a copy and place it into the BtS\Mods folder for play. Keeps it all separate for me so I don't mess with the wrong folder.) Others do it differently like T-brd.

Did you try to do the SVN Commit from inside the Cnsrv MP Game saves Folder? Also all subsequent Commits should be from that folder too. You should have placed your savegame copied from the Pbem save folder the game makes, inside Cnsrv MP Game saves Folder. Then do your initial Add/delete and then commit while there.

As for SVN Update all you should have to normally do is right click you Main SVN folder (mine is named C2C MP) and select SVN Update.

After you did the "Cleanup" did the Red circle with "!" mark turn to a Green circle with a checkmark inside on the C2C MP Folder? If it did not then another step is needed.

I wonder if you have a name conflict? You have C2Cv37. Is that also the name of your main SVN folder for these games? Not C2C MP?

1. C2Cv37 is the folder I downloaded the PBEM SVN too. That is my main folder.

2. Cleanuo - I forgot to select the option "Revert all changes recursively".

Now back to your original (all green folders).
