What are the guide lines when meeting an another human player?

Do we just communicate via the Civ4 trade/diplo screens - or what?

Yes we use the diplo screens and there will be outside communications for the game via private Pms. Ever play the Board game Diplomacy? Very similar to what will occur in the out of game communications.
