This is historically incorrect!

Point is once again, that regardless of rumors etc, there should be an effort to maintain the historical accuracy of the Game. This is a historical based one after all :)

I disagree on the games's historical emphasis, I view Civ III as a history buff's fantasy football. It's not designed to accurately reflect history as much as its designed to allow the user to 'fantasize' at being the ruler of a historical civilization.

I do agree that they should try to make everything as close to how we, the end users, tend to imagine it would be. That gives us a more enjoyable experience and them a more profitable product. Genghis is always pictured with facial hair and somewhat oriental features. That is what they should try to emulate, instead they made him look more like Spielberg's ET the Extra Terrestial.

I'm serious.

Take a good look at the ET Genghis.;)

PS "Of course that's just my opinion, I could be wrong."

I agree with you GenghisFarb but not Football, Boxing is way better comparison :)

Speaking of Boxing anyone watching the big fight this weekend?
Tyson is gonna eat him alive!!! - literary speaking of course [punch]

I guess you won't be watching that huh louiethelesbo, probably some Alice in Wonderland type movie

you know though, as bad as Lewis is gonna get beat, his face will still be an improvement on Genghis's :D

If you find Genghis Khan too offensive see if you can replace him with Mr. Rogers, maybe even throw in the Sesame Street Gang – should make for a very interesting game, oh yeah don't forget Barney :D

Did you want me to make you a leader flc of Mr. Rogers for the "Higher Game Invitational"?

Instead of bashing the poor, innocent, unassuming Genghis, why don't we return to a more refined, intelligent discussion, like say, perhaps, Joan's physical qualities?

:D :D :D

Ugh, louiethelesbo the comment you made alluding to terrorists and cannibals is offencive. It is not proper to judge a people by the reputation of one of their greatest generals.

She isnt quite large enough is she? Just doesnt seem to get across the whole idea of being a frenchie... Perhaps a nuke of three could help speed up things a bit... lol!

GenghisFarb, do you have edited leaderheads of Joan of Arc in the medieval, industrial and/or modern age? Or at least a pic of her in the modern age (I'm curious what she looks like in that age)

Uh... I didn't post a pic of the modern age, cause.... well, you see..... a LOT of the shirt appears to have gotten ripped....

I couldn't get the industrial age to work quite right with all those annoying buttons....

Besides, now that I can make my own characters, clothing, and make them move around with different gestures, It would be a lot easier to just make a whole new Joan.

And speaking of Joan, Firaxis really disapoints me here. She was supposed to be a military leade, not a political one! Why can't they put Henri IV there!
Oh and Joan has shaved all of her hair and is wearing Viva l'Armee T-Shirt in Civ III modern age aniomation.

Oh and Chengis Khan is a great military and political leader. He managed to untie Mongols anyway! And he killed so much people to keep Mong0ols unified and feared by everyoen else, thus making himself famous. Okay, not in a good way.

Really? You mean in the modern age, the unedited pic of her?

When I 'altered' the Modern Age Flic I used the 'cleavage' area from the ancient times Flic and made the t-shirt look 'ripped'. She looks like some kind of Euro Femi-Nazi, not that it's a bad thing.....

I agree with das on the choice of Joan though. I think Charles the Hammer or Charlemagne would have been a more appropriate French leader.

I agree with GhengisFarb, and also, Joan was actually somethign like Le Pen is now... So make her look like Euro Femi-Nazi - that will expose her as a militarist she was...

Oh and Charles the Hammer was Charlemagne's dad Charles Martel.

Sorry, about that! I meant "the Hammer" or Charlemagne, although the later could be argued to have built more civilization, the former laid the foundation. I was half asleep when I posted that last night from hunting down all those leader flics for the Leaderhead Library.

Thanks for catching it, don't want miseducate any young Civers.

If anyone can point me to some good pics of either of them I'll make a leader set. I finished up the first Amazon today and am redoing the other Amazon.

You can check out my alternate Genghis here.

No lumpy gravy wasp stings! (see previous posts)

I posted some pictures of Genghis Khan earlier in this thread...

so.... any news on Genghis Khan's facelift?
its been a while... let me think what did he look like again?

heres a pic of genghis and his girlfriend from spain..
wonder what she sees in him? must be the money and power thing again :D
