Times For Heroes: Chapter 1, Origins

Okay. I'll edit out the move by magic. It will be replaced by having younger Kelhitsum carrying the elders around. They will directly worship Crezth if you so wish. Is it okay if they still imagine him as some sort of toad?

Also, to make them seem more humanoid, I guess you could imagine them standing on their front legs when they don't need to cover a lot of distance quickly, and have their back legs bend so that they don't touch the ground. This way, they usually only use two sets of legs/arms at a time. The back and front set of legs could be used by younger Kelhitsum to move quickly, but older Kelhitsum and those that don't want to move quickly will simply walk on their front legs. The arms, being as weak as they are will be useless when moving quickly, and only those walking on their front legs or not moving at all will be able to use them.

The Sages were more like priests with minimum magic ability, but since there is no real wide spread magic, I will edit them to just be religious leaders.

i have to hand ninja dude the prize for most creative race

I dont even think it compares to the creativity of the Californian race

:cooool:

btw EQ I added some more UU.

churchill, it'll be most helpful if you include the UU in your orders. I believe front page should say deadline is Sunday.

I thought the Drell were pretty creative- although I must admit, a bunch of frogbeasts is pretty unique.

We should make a Sporecast of all these creatures- this is the Drell.

If anyone who doesn't have Spore wants me to make their creature, just tell me and show me the full physical description.

Handle hero orders however you'd like: if there's a particular quest you'd like to embark upon or search out, order it. If there's somewhere you'd like to go, you can do that too.

Cenatan Warrior (replaces regular warrior) 3 for 2

They need more armour than the normal warrior but can run faster as well. They usually use the double sword, the Partisan Spear or a bow.

Hunter 2 for 1

A Cenatan Hunter is a deadly force, firing aimed arrows to hit and kill, they can turn the tides from a small charge, ambush, skirmish or battle.

Loricatus Cenatan
7 for 1 Group (3, 1 Loricatus and 2 followers, or just 3/4 for 1.)

The Elite chiefs of the Cenatan. They wield heavy armour and armed with Lances, Swords, Bows and spears. They are often followed by smaller cenatan and when they charge, it usually blows a hole and more often than not the hole represents a large valley. They are especially known for jumping over stakes and other trickery discovered by them and their entourage.

(maybe more later. This is OK right?)

Could you make the Kelhitsum? Just imagine a frog-like creature with regular frog legs for its back legs. Then give it reptillian looking front legs, and finally a small pair of arms over its front legs.

As a quick recommendation: heroes, hold off on orders. There will be significant stuff to do after the update, plus as people who started the NES from the beginning, you may have a special "welcome to the NES" present for you.

Here is the Kelhitsum!

@Israelite- Yes, it's quite easy. I already have a human template that I made earlier to work from.

You missed my Ninja Edit. I'll get to work on it as soon as I've got the Kelhitsun uploaded.

Grothmag squatted in the bushes, near the game trail. He knew his prey would come down the path, it was only a matter of time. The cries of wounded deer would draw their attention, it always did. Laying carefully hidden underneath the deer was the net, camouflaged with leaves, moss, and pine cones. The only people who would recognize that the net was there would have to first know there was a net there. Even so, it didn't matter. His prey wasn't smart; certainly their attention would be too focused on the easy meal and not worrying about traps.

He heard the gallop of hooves off in the distance, and began to tense with anticipation. The moment was close. Any minute his prey would be here, and he'd spring the trap on them. Ten minutes later, the four centaur made their way to the wounded deer, cheering, and thanking Thudd for blessing them with such good fortune. Only they didn't realize Thudd wasn't here for them, not on this day.

Grothmag sprung the trap, the net catching the four centaur by surprise and lifting them up in the air. The man-beasts kicked and screamed in anger, trying uselessly to slash at the net with the tips of their arrows, as being a small hunting party they came armed only with their bows. Grothmag stepped out of the bushes and glared at the beasts caught in the trap, and they glared back. They knew they were dead, but they didn't want to give up. When would they learn?

As he approached the netted centaurs, one gave a strong kick through the net at his head. It missed, but the dwarf wasn't about to forgive. He cut the rope holding the net, letting it drop to the ground. The centaurs struggled as they tried to get out, giving Groth plenty of time to walk over and whack the heads off of two of the monsters with his trusty axe.

"That ought te even the odds a bit, eh?" he asked the other two, who were just now beginning to get up. He casually wiped the blood on the blade of his axe off with his pant leg. The centaur glared at him, rearing, roaring, and readying their bows.

"Ye think that'll stop me? Well, no one ever said yer kind was smart." the dwarf asked calmly. Then, catching the horse-men off guard, he hurled axe into the chest of one, and just as quickly, pulled out a small dagger and sent it flying into the forehead of the other. He calmly walked over to the first centaur and pulled his axe out of its chest. "I guess you fellas wont be needing these any more, eh?" he asked as he brought the axe down on the two dead centaur's necks, lopping off their heads.

He put all four heads into a sack tied to the saddle on his donkey. Dwarfs like him preferred donkeys over horses, they were easier to get up on, as well as more sure-footed, making that a plus in the mountains, even if they weren't as fast.

He climbed up onto the saddle, and ran his ass all the way back to Khazador, to collect on the centaur bounty, drink a pint, and find out what was new back home.

EDIT: didn't see your hero order note until after I posted this, but meh, what could it hurt, its just introducing my character, really.

Really cool stuff, I'm totally digging the creativity brimming in this thread. The frogs might easily be my favorite creatures. This is going to be a fun NES.

More effeminate? Well, let's just say that this guy is tending towards the more macho end of his species' spectrum- and as for the hair, this guy is not yet civilized, and possibly aging. No haircuts for him! :p

A note, all of the things I've made with Spore so far are in uncivilized states- I imagine they will have clothing of some sort
