TOMO2 - Semi-OCC

SAT people to realize that the essay just doesn't work...
Don't think they move that fast.

Someone said that democracy will fail when the masses are given the right to vote for increase benefits for themselves. that's a paraphrase, but you get the point. Good luck on the score CVN. Although this is comparing apples to oranges...even idiots can get a 1290

I got a 230 on the PSATs (equivalent of a 2300 on the new SAT or about a 1530 on the old SAT), so I'm not worried.

If anyone can get a really good score, I know you can, CVN. From what I've seen from you on this forum...

The only time I've taken the SAT (7th grade) I got a 1240...

Now where's that smilie...? :hmm:

Here it is:

Oh, and:

Tomoyo <-- Probationi meo Latine Studens
Admiral Kutzov <-- Lusisse est
Whomp <-- VERS TUUS EST!
Bede <-- Proximus
Cuivienen <-- SATes tantum confecit

please put that last post into idiot speak. Never actually took a dead language class.
@ CVN - I wouldn't joke with you if I had any doubt you aced the stupid test. :rotfl: after Tomoyo's smilie.
@ Tomoyo - did I say anything stupid in the past to get put on your list? Just curious.

Y'all are way too smart for me. I may have to bail on this game....

Kidding..I got it. Build military to take Henry's lands. Play nice nice with everyone else. Anything else? I will bring some pics since AK forgot how.

O/T
Good going Cvn! I think my girlfriend is really smart (teacher). She got a 1425 and went to Berkeley and Columbia. If you get a 1530 you're off the charts kid! I'm sure Cmdr T will do the same. On essays she said it's very easy to grade essays.
Ivy League?

Tomoyo <-- Probationi meo Latine Studens - Studying for my Latin test
Admiral Kutzov <-- Lusisse est - Is to have been playing (Why doesn't latin have a perfect active participle?)
Whomp <-- VERS TUUS EST! - It's your turn!
Bede <-- Proximus - Next
Cuivienen <-- SATes tantum confecit - Just completed her SATs

I will bring some pics since AK forgot how.
It was that second time when I tried to sharpen the cutlass on my head. The blackouts are decreasing in frequency however. Not much changed, didn't see the point. i was just happy we kept the iron.

OT - friend of mine in high school had a prig for a dad. the dad said, "If you can't get into haavard you may as well not even go to college" Friend went to Columbia, is doing very well with creative writing. his dad is still teaching at Bucknell. We're still laughing about the qoute.

I was wondering what "Probationi" was. We call them "Quaestiunculae."

And, rather than the awkward "lusisse est," use "lusit." Has played. Much simpler.

"Quaestiuncluae" sounds like a combination of "quaestio" and "uncula". I think the uncula suffix means "small", so it sounds like a "small question".

Regarding lusisse est/lusit, I was originally trying to making all the descriptions adjectives, so I was desparately hunting for a perfect participle...

We call our tests "tests".

I'd never thought about it, but quaestiuncula is probably closer to quiz than test, actually. My Latin teacher speaks only in Latin to us (but we respond in English).

What if your teacher needs to use a word that didn't exist in Latin, though? My Latin teacher is very proficient in Latin-related English grammar, but can't speak Latin.

More Off Topic: Does your school participate in the National Latin Exam?

Even More Off Topic: Hey, you're an "Althistorian"!

Well, he'll call something a "computer" if he needs to, but there aren't many words that can't be expressed in Latin even if Latin had no word for it.

We sort of do. I took it this year, but taking it is completely voluntary. (This is also my first year taking Latin in high school. I started in Latin III because I took it in middle school. I don't know if it was available in previous years.)

Yes, I am, it was originally an NES thing.

I was just thinking of the word "adorandum", the gerundive of adoro, (which I'm not sure is a word) to mean cute...

In my school, the NLE is voluntary too, but everyone takes it. Also, not not to brag, my entire class received awards in the NLE last year. :D (I got a perfect score)

Latin II... I take it you took the Latin III one, right?

Last year, Latin I.

I looked at the save.
If nobody objects the Iroquois have no horses, iron or pending deals. This could be leader farm heaven. As well they have spices and are right next door to Cataragea. Grand River is 1 turn away.

I plan to start on them before the Ports.
