I thought it was called a Praying Mantis… that is, if they didn't change the name for Atlantica Online.
 
Actually, Preying Mantis is a pretty good pun. Infact, it is so good I'm taking credit for it.



I'm also taking credit for the cotton gin and the moon landings.

Excellent units Tom!

The mantis is particularly welcome. I have a project on the go to create the world in the Empire trilogy of books by Raymond E Feist and Janny Wurts and there is a race of mantis-like creatures, although they have human like heads and arms (two arms and for legs) and carry spears, but this is close enough. Until now I thought I'd just have to leave them out of the mod.

I'd have to dig it up, but Plotinus the Theologian did make a dissertation on deities having no gender when someone (perhaps Spacer One) made the same observation&#8230;

I seem to remember her having a form as a male warrior as well, to support your thesis. Then again, I read those books when I was a teenager and I've had so much to drink since then...

In any case, the praying mantis looks great, Tom.
 
Satellite

** Reuploaded 9-29-10 with corrected Default.flc done by Vuldacon which fixed a minor tear issue with the animation.

Unit has been Civ Coloured. Is a generic satellite which can be used in various ways. One possible usage is to use it as a spy satellite, allowing it to recon (as an air unit) any area on the entire map of a mod or scenario. It could also be used in a space scenario. No Attack animation was made, but one can be created if there is a request for one.

Steampunk Scout (unit conversion)

Civ Colours have been added. Gave her boots, and steampunk goggles, other minor adjustments. Animated Captured and Fidget FLC's. The rest is AO. Includes Run, Default, Death, Captured, and Fidget.
