What are your picks for the top 5 worst actors (A-list) currently active? Here is my list:

1) Vin Diesel
2) Ben Affleck
3) Keanu Reeves
4) Nicolas Cage
5) Adam Sandler

Take Nicolas Cage off of there. He can do good work. Replace him with...er....Denzel Washington if we're staying on the a list.

I think you did well with your 5.

Denzel is a great actor VR.

You think Nic Cage is a better actor than Denzel Washington? Is this a joke? Nicolas Cage is one of the worst actors of all times, his acting ranges from downright horrendous to mediocre, even in good movies. He used to put out some decent movies, nowadays I just watch his movie to laugh at his ridiculous performance.

I got two words for you.

Bangkok Dangerous.

Cage used to do good work. Used to. These days his money troubles are making him take roles that he isnt suited for. His last few movies have been just awful.

Nick Cage releases an awful movie annually now - it is like a permanent fixture. I'm confused I thought Aflec was a good actor? Good Will Hunting he put in a good performance?

Well the worst actor i have seen, and is at the same time somewhat famous- not a superstar by any stretch of course- is that english idiot who played the killer in the train, in midnight meat-train.

Nicholas Cage was pretty good in Chipmunks 2 the squeaquel.

All of these guys (perhaps Vin Diesel excepted) have put out at least one good movie in their careers. Otherwise they wouldn't be a-list actors, would they? :p

It doesn't always work that way. If we use literature or more precisely book-writing as an analogy, I have two words for you: Dan Brown. Not one good book but still extremely popular(haven't read the last one though).

Brown's newest book is his biggest literary disaster to day. It is absolutely boring and ridiculous. I wasted about 2 hours reading the first 20 chapters of it. Don't waste your time.

As for actors/actresses, there are lots of them that are horrible and yet famous. We have Jennifer Aniston, J-Lo, Lindsay Lohan, just to name a few. Oh, and don't forget that Hannah Montana chick, she has as much acting talent as a dry toast.

Why oh why isn't Hayden Christianson been mentioned yet?

Ahh, the MobBoss hypothesis: If it's popular it's gotta be good

Even a routinely bad actor can put out something good every now and then. And for it to be popular someone obviously has to find it to be good.

Or are you in the habit of spending your hard earned money on movies that suck because you like how they suck? :mischief:

Well I'm assuming you mean top 5 successful actors. So I'll go with:

1.Steven Segal
2.Ben Affleck
3.Keanu Reeves
4.Jason Statham
5.Recent Nicholas Cage

Nick Cage has done good acting work in the past. Stuff like Adaptation, and Raising Arizona was good. A lot of his stuff is hit and miss, and he's had a lot of misses.

I can agree with putting Denzel Washington, only because he acts predictably the same in all his movies. He has yet to actually wow me with acting skills.

Nick Cage did act in one movie so long ago that most people have now forgotten about it:
